Ingenious design
Ok, so this review is actually about the Donner Hush-X. The compact design is like no other. I mean, without the brackets attached it fits in a bag you might put a couple baseball bats in. That slim. The brackets also fit in the provided carry bag and there are several pockets to put related items including the handy tuner Donner gifts to buyers of this guitar. A very clever strap is also included as our picks and several extra allen wrenches. A nice little amp cord as well and get this...some very cool earbuds. The earbuds fit nicely in the ear but Donner went one further and designed them so they are sound-tight. You'll have to see them to fully understand this. Now the important stuff: The neck is a shallow C shape similar to my Gilmore Strat. I'm not sure what the fretboard is made of ..I assume some cool polymer, but it's great. Lightning fast and it just feels right. Further, it's a full scale neck! You won't see that on many travel guitars. This thing plays like a full size. I was very apprehensive about the tuners. Guess what? I do some serious bending and the strings just stay in tune. My Traveler guitar has to be tuned about every time I pick it up. Not this Hush-X. It's remarkable. The action required a bit of tweaking. Many might like the standard string height but I wanted the action lower. Fortunately the bridge can be adjusted so I didn't have to do too much with the truss. The electronics are plenty good but I have to mess with the settings a bit more before I can do a write up on the electronics as a whole, but so far so good. I have an assortment of guitars but find myself playing this little guy a ton since it's arrival. I figured out how to hang it next to my bed by one of the brackets. My wife can be sound asleep next to me and I can play without waking her or stabbing her in the head with a headstock. So that's a plus. Speaking of brackets...these things are way more cool than they're pictured. They're sturdy, fit very securely and I couldn't ask for a better fit to my body as I hold the guitar. Standing, sitting , lying down...the brackets just work and it's great having a guitar of this size at my disposal. Trust me, buy one and you'll practice and play much more than you are currently playing. And that in itself is a huge and unforeseen bonus. I'm telling all my friends about this guitar. If you read my other reviews you'll see I do my best to tell it like it is. I should add that I had a couple questions about this guitar and the customer service person (Zoe) I emailed was quick to respond and was just incredibly helpful. Zoe was amazing and so is this little guitar. I suspect as word gets around the price of this guitar will go up.... I sincerely believe you'd be wise to buy yours today.

This is beginner’s review
I bought this guitar with the intention of sparing my wife from having to endure my not-yet-perfected guitar skills. As a beginner of over 10 years, I already own two other acoustic guitars, but Donner is my first solid body guitar. My initial impression of the entire kit was that it's an excellent choice for beginners, as it comes with everything from a tuner to picks. The gig bag is well-made, featuring plenty of cushions and adequately sized compartments to keep all your gear organized in one place. One standout feature is that the kit includes batteries for both the guitar itself and the tuner, saving you the hassle of buying them separately. The guitar itself is crafted with high-quality materials and feels very well-made. The tuning pegs turn smoothly and responsively, making tuning a breeze. Within minutes of opening the box, I was able to start playing. I've even included a video with this review to give you an idea of its sound from the audience's perspective. It's not too quiet, but with a closed door in a room, others shouldn't hear it too loudly. However, I must admit that the promotional video is a bit misleading—it might wake a sleeping baby if you start strumming nearby. Now, let me share my thoughts on how it feels to actually play the guitar. Keep in mind that I'm just a beginner, so take my opinions with a generous grain of salt. I found the included guitar-shaped metal piece to be somewhat impractical. Attaching and screwing it into place takes a few minutes, and without the screws, the bottom piece can rotate and occasionally come off. Since I take this guitar with me to work daily for 15-20 minute sessions, the attachment process eats into my playing time, especially when I want to play fingerstyle while sitting down. The guitar strap is included, but the attachment holes are standard size, and one of the attachment points on the guitar doubles as an output jack, making it larger in diameter than normal. This made attaching the strap a bit challenging, and I ended up leaving it attached all the time, even when storing it in the carrying bag. Unfortunately, this caused the bag to not close properly if I wasn't careful, and the metal buckle on the strap ended up scratching the guitar while in transit. The weight distribution of the guitar is also a bit unusual for me. The two connection points of the strap are very close together, making the neck feel much heavier than the body. As a result, I find myself holding up the neck even during brief pauses, which can be tiring. Lastly, the guitar's shape doesn't offer many options for placing your palm while picking or doing light strumming. While it's not overly difficult to get used to, I thought it was worth mentioning. Despite these cons, the few pros of this guitar outweigh them all. It's compact, lightweight, and incredibly easy to transport. It appears to be durable, and I can practice almost anywhere, anytime. Plus, the price is reasonable, making it a great option for beginners. If you're considering this guitar, I suggest considering whether your situation is similar to mine and if the issues I've mentioned are things you can tolerate or adapt to. However, I can honestly say that I have no regrets about buying this guitar, and I hope my review has been helpful to you. Cheers, everyone!

Per quello che costa e per l'ingombro è perfetta. Necessita di un buon set up, l'action è troppo alta. L'ho dovuta restituire perché la volevo portare in viaggio e non entra in valigia. Potrebbe entrare in una valigia veramente grande però.

A great deal from Donner. A really nice instrument, nice accessories, looks great, well finished and pretty easy to play. Easy to walk around with and just play. Playing with fingers won't disturb anyone in the same room. Sounds pretty nice acoustically although of course low volume. Only thing I had to do was adjust the trust rod alot as it was very loose and had massive amount of bow. Perfect instrument for any beginner or anyone needing to play quieter or have something to take anywhere with them.
