Chuck on my Makita died and wouldn’t grab bits. Inexpensive full metal replacement and works well.

I replaced the chuck and key on my old DeWalt DW511 1/2" hammer drill with this. Fits perfect . Haven't used it for any hammer drilling yet. Chuck holds bits tight. Seems like it is made very well. Hardest part about the switch out was getting Torx out of the old drill. All in All pleased.

I got this replacement keyless chuck for my Ryobi 18v drill. It was easy enough to replace but I find that it gets lose and drops out the bit. So be prepared for that to happen.

I don’t do a lot of reviews but this had to be done. I replaced a standard Dewalt drill chuck ( a little old but not terrible) I opened the box and the part looked well made, all metal and a good value. I installed it and can seriously say I have not one drill bit held properly for over 5 seconds. The only way I can get it to work is carry large pliers with me and tighten the chuck with that. It’s the absolute, number one worst part or item I have ever bought on Amazon. Put bit in, tighten, drill 2 seconds bit falls out. No matter what bit, size or hole depth. Absolutely junk…. But it looks good. I would have sent it back but I had a job to do and finished the job with pliers and scratched the chuck. So I’m in the process of looking for another.

Quick and easy replacement for a chuck that got broken. Upgrade too since the OEM version was plastic. Metal construction and should hold up well. Should have replaced my old one on day one with this. For $10.. hard to beat the value.
