Jazz Guitar Chord Mastery

This is THE book i was looking for! It's perfect for people who's trying to get over bar chords, and tired to using all the same chord patterns all the time. I would buy it again.

I was a bit surprised that this book began with a narrow focus on drop 2 chords, when I wanted a more general collection of chords. A bit misrepresented in the description. The first volume of this series was probably what I wanted. But there are good ideas in here and useful. Most of the text is merely copy/pasted, the exact same text in each chapter, and in fact there are some typos in chord names, probably a spellcheck induced error. But it is a tool and you have to use it to get results. My one suggestion would be, in a series of chord diagrams in practically the same position, why not line them up instead of shifting up or down. For example no need to shift the fretboard diagram up a space on the second chord, if space allows, line up Fret 3 for all chords so we can see the visual relationship between chords.

Very interesting ,intelligent approach by the Author .it demands dedication but It is a pleasure !

Ouvrage très complet. Commençant le jazz après juste un an de guitare, j'avais besoin d'un fil conducteur pour m'y retrouver dans les choix de voicings, avec ou sans basse (le piano de la formation les faisant), avec ou sans sans fondamentale (mon collègue guitariste les intégrant dans ses accords). Chaque choix est éclairé par la théorie et l'explication du contexte. Je me régale mais je réalise que j'ai du pain sur la planche. C'est parti pour quelques années de plaisir.
