I actually was very intrigued when the first iteration of this phone was introduced by Samsung. however, I had my concern about the folding OLED screen and the hinge system on the phone. I decided to wait until the bugs could be worked out of the innovative phone design before buying it. When I read the reviews of the improvements in the Flip 4 over the Flip3 (especially the increased battery capacity of the Flip4), I decided that now was the time to get one. after all, "Who Doesn't Want A Phone That Fold Up and Makes Itself Smaller And More Convenient To Carry." I sure did and it does not disappoint. While I cannot say anything about the long term use of this phone as I've only had it for a couple of weeks, I can say that the WOW factor for me is immense. I especially enjoy the compact size that the phone becomes when it is closed and the convenience of not having to carry around large bulky phone in my pants pocket (really uncomfortable when you have to sit down for any length of time with it in your back pocket. I will say that you can see the area where the phone folds in certain instances, however, you don't really notice it while you're doing what you normally do on a phone. For myself, I've decided to only fold and close my phone when I plan on putting it in my pocket. Otherwise I leave it fully open because it really doesn't need to be closed. I rather have it fully open and ready to use. However, this is my personal preference and others my want to close it all the time. I am very happy with this purchase and only time will tell how this phone holds up over time. If you need your phone to be smaller, but, you don't want to give up the larger screen size, than the Samsung Flip 4 may be the phone you need. Before you buy one, go to a store that has it on display and pick it up and test it out (especially, look at the screen and see if the fold area of the screen bothers you enough to not want the phone). That's what I did and that's what convinced me to get one. You really have to see it and handle it before buying it.

First thing I'm gonna say is the crease in the middle of the display is visible but I wouldn't say it's "prominent" I have barely been able to tell it's there while actually using the phone which surprised me, I was expecting that to be the biggest elephant in the room and it's actually not. My main problem with Samsung phones is the software but with a BUNCH of tweaks I am able to say I have a perfect phone for me. If you aren't very tech savvy I wouldn't recommend any Samsung phone at all but for those of us that love customizing settings and widgets this is the perfect android phone. Camera quality is okay on the native camera app but loses much of it's quality when used on Snapchat or Instagram BUT like many other android phones it is not unusable on these apps the quality seems acceptable to me. Fingerprint reader is FAST, coming from an android phone with an in display fingerprint scanner that barely worked, this is really refreshing to have one that responds so fast. And it FLIPS!

I bought this phone about 1 year and 3 months ago. After getting it and seeing so many reviews on the screen issues, I was always VERY careful to keep the screen open as much as possible as I've seen multiple reviews where people say the screen has issues because its not reinforced where it folds. I folded closed my phone carefully maybe 6 or 7 times total before seeing that the screen was going black at the crease. This was about 7 months after I got it. So I went back to not folding it closed. The ONE TIME after that that I folded it closed was when I had the phone for about 10 months and wouldn't you know it... the screen completely went out. It WAS under warranty and sustained no physical damage, yet I had to fight to get it fixed. And because we couldn't get into the phone because the screen was dead and we couldn't put my pw in, I lost EVERYTHING on it. Samsung did ultimately agree to fix it a week before the warranty went out. Thankfully. But they couldn't save anything on my phone. I do like the phone but there's no point in getting a phone with the sole purpose of being able to close it. Now I'm stuck paying the rest of a $900 payment plan on a phone that it's only purpose is irrelevant. Next time I'll get a regular phone. I also back up everything on my phone to a private server now so if this happens again I won't lose all my stored stuff. Lesson learned. I just wish it hadn't been a $900 lesson. And I'm glad I told my kid no when she also wanted one and got her a regular phone instead (same time I got mine).

From the time I first got this phone it hasn't worked right. The "visual voicemail", never worked from the get go. I can send text messages out, but can't receive any. When I try to access the "spam protection" settings, I get a "menu options not available", message. I contacted my service provider and they said everything is fine on their end...contact Samsung. I contact Samsung they said take it to a warranty center, which I did. The service guy checked it out and said, hardware side, everything checks out. Must be a problem with the "firm ware" or the Android Software, which they can't check, they only do hardware...ie..screens, battery, etc.. So I need to contact Samsung to see what to do next. Well, that happened today so I still need to check with Samsung. Probably gonna make me send the phone back to them. Might take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks for repair. Great..! What a major Pain in the A--! Sucks to spend 1000 bucks to get a phone that does not work out of the box. 3 months of misery. Footnote....found out the problem was with the carrier after all the denial. Have had the phone now for over a year, and I love it. No problems at all and it does everything I need it to do.

El smartphone es excelente el único detalle es que viene totalmente descargado y no contiene cubo de carga algo frustrante al momento de querer estrenar y darte cuenta que no hay carga, todo lo demás perfecto. Llegó un día después de lo acordado pero sin mayor inconveniente.
