13 Fishing No. 8 Tackle Co. Hellbent Bass Medium Light Spinning Rod (2 Piece)

I have this rod paired up with a Piscifun 2000 Honor reel, with 8lb test braid.This rod is rated for 4-8lb line • 1/16-3/8oz lure. 6'-6" medium light fast. For casting inline spinner, spoons, jigs, and almost anything lighter then 3/8oz, even a slip bobber setup. The rod is light, and comfortable in the hand. The rod and reel combo match up nice, preform superbly, and look great. In the near future I will most likely switch to 10lb braid, and use a 8-6-4lb fluoro leader. This way if my line breaks I won't be leaving a long tag of line in the water to mess up the fishing area. If I want to go heavier then 8lb test I'll grab my One3 medium heavy rod.The rod is replacing my older Gander mountain rod and Pflueger reel.

I own a 6'6" MH one piece Hellbent casting rod, and I love it - it's sturdy, sensitive, light, and has a comfortable handle and reel seat. The price on Amazon can't be beat for the rod you're getting out of it. I wish I could say as much about the 2-piece spinning rod in question - despite being a medium-light, this is a less sensitive rod than the medium-heavy casting version. The reel seat is not nearly as nice, as my reel tends to get wiggly multiple times during a trip, and the lower portion of the rod is too short, so there's not quite the leverage you want. It's still a nice rod for the money - it is better than any other $30 rod you can find, but it's really lacking compared to my No. 8 Blackout, which isn't exactly a high end rod either.

Good rod for the money

this rod is a bit heavy, action wise for a ML. But it was priced to sell.
