I got this to use on my recent trip to Japan. I didn't want to try to find distilled water, considering I can't read Japanese and was not able to tell what was distilled, purified, or mineral water. On my CPAP I purchased a water tank replacement plug (when installed the resmed machine knows there is no water tank and adjust automatically) using the plug also made the CPAP shorter and easier to pack. No water to carry from place to place, or find. I was there one month and used just one filter. I have the others in reserve for future trips and cruises. Most days I couldn't tell much difference between mouth/nose drying then when using water tank at home. As stated in advertising be sure to use with correct mask/cushion, it will not work with other type masks. I have used other similar filters which attach inline on the hose with good results also, but no longer use that style mask and had to switch to these.

Very handy to travel to Europe with these rather than carrying the additional weight and bulk of the humidifier. The amount of humidification provided was definitely less than my usual heated unit. But it was for sure better than nothing. The one day usage recommendation is probably an overkill. I had no problems using for 3 days, but I did need to change after 3 days.

These things are worthless. I still had dry mouth, but also a coating of dried phlegm in my throat. Awful !!

These are good for no more than 7 days but they work with travel size CPAP machines. Much better than trying to haul around distilled water and all the added stuff. Humidity levels are such that your not all dried out but some people may find not humid enough for them. I found they work perfectly. I but them keep them on hand for when I travel.
