Verbatim CD DVD Blu-Ray Clear Slim Jewel Cases, 5.2 mm – 25 Pack

These are the slim type so they will not take up too much space. They are clear on both sides and the front allows you to slip a paper sleeve with content descriptions. The CD or DVD is held in place inside with small plastic notches and the case snaps shut. These are not as sturdy as the regular size cases so you will have to be careful not to drop them. Unlike some cases from another company, these arrived in perfect condition without any scratches or cracks.

A lot of comments mentioned breakage in their packs, but I didn't see one crack in any of these! They work pretty well for what they are. Obviously, they are pretty thin, so they are a tad-bit flimsy, but I had no issues handling these. I did notice that these do not hold thicker CD inserts well. I ordered one 25pk and one 50pk for a total of 75 and none of them came cracked or damaged whatsoever, so I'm very happy. One thing to take note of: although these are marketed as clear, the CD side is a bit fogged because it is a textured plastic.

I've used many jewel cases over the years, but I keep coming back to Verbatim. These were shipped in the manufacturer's thick cardboard box, and as such I had no broken cases. They are made in Taiwan, not China. The front plastic is very transparent, while the back has a textured, translucent appearance. In my opinion, this makes for a more sophisticated looking case. The plastic is recyclable #6 so when they do finally wear out, they don't need to be landfilled. When closing, a quick press along the bottom and/or top edge results in an audible snap as it locks closed. After that, they don't accidentally fall open. When they are opened, the CD is held in place quite well, but also releases easily. I use mine to hold recordable media from Delkin, Maxell, Memorex, and Verbatim, all with the same result - easy in, easy out. Overall, I find them a good value when quality is taken into consideration. My advice is to read the reviews here and trust the more established jewel case manufacturers. Memorex also makes a decent case, especially if it's colors you're after.

Out of the 10 colored cases 4 had the hinges immediately pop off/were already broken and had to be discarded. Not sure about the clear cases yet, but they seem extremely fragile instead of being able to hold up to transportation.

Great product to protect your CDs and DVDs .

They all came broken and would literally shatter to the touch. Don’t buy this.
