Not the same finish

I had previously ordered this item and liked it very much. That one was stolen off my bike, so I wanted a replacement of the same. This one seems different. The leather quality, or finish, doesn't seem as good as the first one that I had. It appears dry or the tanning unfinished, it's not the same, seems maybe of a lessor quality some how. It is usable, but I am a little disappointed it isn't exactly like the one I had before.
