The umbrella swivels are made mostly of metal and feel very sold. The tightening nut is plastic but that’s no unusual. The main swivel handle is metal and can be pulled out and rotated to avoid catching.I didn’t realise that the swivel operates on a ratchet rather than pure friction. The ratchet is quite fine and makes sure the swivel won’t slip if loaded, but it also makes it slightly less able to accurately set a precise swivel angle. I might add a plastic spacer to address this so now it can be set at any angle. I don’t think this is a design issue as I could perfectly live with the ratchets, but I now have the option of a smooth adjustment for the simple addition of a spacer.Overall, this is a decent swivel adapter and very similar to Manfrotto’s own version in terms of build quality and design.Definitely recommend (and it comes with some adapters for fitting to different stands).

Upon second time to be used - Spring that should be holding the lever you use to tilt is out and it's become quite difficult to do the tilt. Annoying, since product looks the part with metal construction.

These are solid metal, bulky, and well made. Can't wait to test out the weight of my new Yongnuo 660 on them. I think they will hold the weight without bending.

Super Teile. Außer die kleine Schraube unten rechts ist das ganze Teil aus Metall. Es ist sauber verarbeitet und hat keine scharfen Kanten. Pro Halter sind zwei Gewindeadapter dabei. Und es gibt ein Loch für Blitzschirme. Kaufe ich bei Bedarf auf jeden Fall nach.
