I'm not sure what other folks might use EPO for, as it seems to have a lot of benefits, but I wanted to speak specifically to my experience in using it for treating and preventing cystic acne. In my mid-20s, I developed really painful cystic acne outbreaks on my chin/mouth area that would happen like clockwork right before my monthly menstrual cycle. The rest of my skin was totally clear, so using salicylic acid products just dried it out and didn't even help with the cystic breakouts. I tried birth control, chemical peels, face masks, spot treatments, all sorts of fancy skincare regimens, and nothing did the trick. Desperate to avoid visiting a dermatologist (I was between jobs at the time and had no health insurance), I read tons of reviews and message boards and eventually learned that many people have found EPO to be helpful in treating cystic acne. Long story short: I'm one of those people now! EPO has been a godsend in clearing up my hormonal breakouts. I take two every single day. These are easy to swallow and completely flavorless/odorless. I hope this review might help others in a similar position. Just note that it does take a few weeks of regular use to see these effects. :)
