No, it’s held in with a clip. you’ll need the rubber O ring. You could probably get away with re-using the old one, but it should have come with a new one. You could get one from the parts store or harbor freight.

Toyota uses multiple temperature sensors. One of them on the block is strictly for dashboard. The other one on the block is for the ECM. The one on the radiator is the coolant fan switch which controls the fan activation.

Fan control switch is mounted to the radiator. The my 02 camry cng has 3temp sensors. The 2 on the thermostat housing are for ECM data and for the instrument cluster gauge
