The flavor is different when dried. I added them to steel cut oats with walnuts, flax, raisins and chia seeds and they were delicious once they got some rehydration!

Had to use for snow fungus soup. It’s delicious

I use dried Longan for tea and wanted to try an online brand. I’ve tried a few brands on Amazon this is by far the worst. It’s white in color which tells me they colored or bleached the fruit before drying. It tastes like chemical and gave me a tummy ache immediately after drinking. Package does not disclose what country this is from, which is very sketchy to leave that information out. Most Longan products are from either Thailand or Vietnam, and since it listed neither I’m afraid i am unable to trust the source.
