Brilliant!!
Have always used a varnish before, Never again, This Fiddes Wax oil is so easy to put on a well prepared surface, I scrapped and sanded down two aged kitchen worktops then using a quality brush over the course of two days I gave it three Coats and the finish is fantastic providing you follow the directions on the tin, If you can manage not to use the worktops for 7 days to let it completely harden (Difficult, but not impossible) you don't have to but the longer you leave it the more hardwearing your tops will be, Will never go back to varnish ever again.

Quality is excellent
I watched a video on YouTube as my 30 year old worktops needed completely taking back and I wanted hard wearing, good quality seal. This was recommended on the video and decided to go with it. It is easy to apply with a good quality paintbrush and dried quickly. I needed to do 3 coats but that was because I wanted to fully protect it after all the hard work of sanding back to bare wood.. It is clear and dried to a soft waterproof sheen. I love it. It's expensive for the 250ml it's well worth it and it goes a long way. No more Danish or tung oil. Will be buying more for my dining room table and chairs.

The best wax oil I’ve used
I’ve tried in Matt and satin, both give a great finish. Easy to apply. Protects the wood and makes it easier to clean

Finish given
All good went on the newly sanded tabletop, sealed it well but it is more of a varnish than a polish

Very good product
I picked up a recommendation for this from a utube video of a guy sanding and treating wooden worktops in a kitchen. I had a lovely but battered oak table that needed bringing up to scratch so though I would try it. After a good sanding back and a couple of coats with a light sanding between coats, the table looks amazing. The finish is superb and the finish on the wood grain is superb. It also has polyurethane in it so the surface is tough with a great shine. I will be buying it again for other projects and would recommend it to anyone.

Watch a couple of application videos before use.
Strongly recommend watching a couple of the YouTube videos in advance. After application you do need to wipe over to remove excess otherwise surface remains sticky for days as I discovered on my first cupboard. Seems counter intuitive as normally used to applying with brush and leaving to dry. Once you get the hang og it gives great finish. Also found white spirit better to clean brushes than some brush cleaning solutions that did not work.

It's ok
Having read great things I bought some for my oak kitchen worktop... five layers later it is still not very water resistant... Looks lovely however so I'll keep layering up. Y issue is the need to brush on and wipe off ...so as not to create stickiness.. it does achieve this but it really does take forever and is pretty wastefull. I'm hopeful that a few more layers will dot he trick. It will however make it poor value as with all the wipe on wipe off... It doesn't go as far as you'd hope.
