Immediately solved my mouse problems, would recommend and buy again
I tried putting peanut butter on glue traps but the mice managed to eat the peanut butter without getting stuck. Tried out these traps with peanut butter and immediately killed two. Easy to set-up and super effective while being very affordable.

They work! 6 times now!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price brought me to purchase this item. The 6 mice I've dispatched with 48 hours are testament to these traps efficacy. I've still got 2 baited traps in my attic, eagerly awaiting that little snap sound when one more little rodent bites the dust. If I don't hear any more traps snapping I'll be just as happy. Very good "investment"

Simple and effective!
I only ordered these because I didn't want to leave the house and this was the cheapest option shipped at the time. This turned out to be a good decision! I have one of those bucket type traps, and while it has worked a few times, these traps caught the same amount in a week as the other did in six months. No issues with mice taking the bait and running, nope, no empty traps. Appears to kill immediately since the trap does not move from where I've placed it. Would it kill a rat? Hmm, I've had a pet rat before, this would do the job, but some freakish N.Y. rat? No way. I even set one in a spot that squirrels like to visit. They set it off, but it does not deter them. (No, I didn't think it would kill a squirrel, I simply wanted to squirrel to dislike it enough to not come back... failed that test.)Simply put, Peanut Butter+Trap= no mice!

Snap goes the Trap
This is one of those things you don't like to have to buy, but when you do, you hope you can eliminate the need to use it as quickly as possible! These traps are standard "old school" mouse traps. The plastic bait area is nicer, however, than the older styles that have a small metal tab. These are relatively easy to set up and let do their things. You do need to make sure you use a bait that doesn't simply come off the platform as there is a slim chance the trap won't go off if the vermin doesn't need to put any pressure. As note, these are reusable; however, they are also cheap enough that you can toss them with any trapped varmints and not worry about the cost.Oh, Snap!

Sensitive Traps!
In my opinion, these traps are superior to the Victor traps that I ordered previously. The metal trip wire that runs to the bait holder is thicker, and the whole unit seems to be beefier. I like the plastic, perforated holder for the bait better that the stamped steel in the Victor, which seems less sensitive to mouse gnawing. The bait was always missing with the trap un-sprung, even when I pinched the bait into the steel holder with pliers. The spring on the Victor is stiffer, but I’m not looking to kill rats, here.I guess we’ll see how things go.

Middle-of-the-Road Performance: Tomcat Mouse Traps Get the Job Done but Lack Durability
The Tomcat Wooden Mouse Traps promise an inexpensive and effective solution for catching mice in the home. While they are generally successful in trapping mice, there are some shortcomings that make this a 3-star product.Construction and DesignThe wooden base and metal trigger mechanism are standard features in mouse traps of this kind. The construction is what you would expect for the price point—functional but not extraordinarily durable.EffectivenessThe traps do work; I was able to catch several mice over a month-long testing period. However, their effectiveness seemed to diminish with repeated use. The sensitivity of the trigger mechanism appeared to decrease over time, leading to a few near-misses.Pros:1. Affordable: Definitely one of the more budget-friendly options on the market.2. Easy to Set: The traps are straightforward to set up, requiring minimal effort.3. Effective Initially: They do a decent job at catching mice during the first few uses.Cons:1. Decreased Sensitivity: The traps tend to become less sensitive and effective with repeated use.2. Limited Durability: The wooden base is prone to warping, particularly in humid conditions.3. Single-Use Nature: Given their lack of durability, they’re practically single-use items.ComparisonCompared to other mouse traps like the Victor Metal Pedal Mouse Trap, the Tomcat traps are less durable but equally easy to set up. Victor traps maintained their sensitivity longer, making them a better long-term option despite a slightly higher cost.Usage ExperienceI used the Tomcat Mouse Traps in various locations around my home, including the kitchen and garage. While the traps did manage to catch mice, the diminishing effectiveness over repeated use was noticeable. After about a month, one of the traps also showed signs of warping, likely due to humidity.Final ThoughtsThe Tomcat Wooden Mouse Traps offer a budget-friendly but less durable option for those dealing with a minor mouse problem. They’re effective initially but lose their efficiency over time. If you’re looking for a short-term solution, these traps may suffice. However, for more persistent issues, investing in a more durable set of traps would be advisable.Thank you for reading this review. I hope it provides the information you need to make an informed purchasing decision.

Animal name says it all, get a clue.
Ok. apparently not everyone is capable of setting mouse traps. THE PLASTIC CHEESE TRIGGER BOARD IS NOT WHERE YOU SET UP A BAFFET. Sset the bait behind the metal latch arm, where it sets into the Plastic Cheese Board above the spring. Just a dab of stiff peanut butter set firmly into the small knotches. Then a nice juicy Sunflower seed ( smaller ones like you get in bird food) Make sure the seed is firmly pushed into the peanut butter. You can also use Millet. If you put too much peanut butter the mice will just lick it clean, but when they sence the Sunflower seed they will try and grab it free. BAM!! These traps work great if you put them next to a wall and put a box to guide the little basturds into a slot canyon. look for dirty little trails they use the same trails over and over. After trapping them out, Clean the area with bleach and diinfectant so they don't come back. They don't like spray foam either, it screws up the highways and scents they follow. Basically they are blind. Nothing wrong with any product that has an animal name..Tom Cat, Bobcat, Tiger saw..Eager Beaver..Cat Here's to you Jimmy of Sierra Madre CA
