I got this to cover a sharp broken tooth while I waited for an appointment with my dentist. It's a bit of a fiddle to use, as it doesn't always stick in place, and it takes a bit of trial and error before you get the hang of squeezing a tiny piece into place. I did end up swallowing several pieces accidentally without any ill effects. Once I'd got the technique for using the wax, it very effectively saved my tongue and the inside of my cheek from shredding into a painful mess. You only need a really tiny piece so it lasts a lot longer than you expect. Personally I found the faint mint flavour wasn't very noticeable, but some children are very sensitive to mint so this might not suit everyone. I wish I'd been offered this back in the day when I had braces (I still have the scars).

They did the job, but why are they hard???

I recently had four small bolts or ‘buttons‘ fitted on the inside of my lower teeth ready for elastics. They were causing lacerations to my tongue and it was so painful to eat and talk. At the start of my treatment my orthodontist gave me some dental silicone in a tube, which I tried to reorder but it was very expensive especially as I am nearing the end of my 12 month treatment. So I tried this as a cheaper alternative and it really has been a life saviour. It’s malleable, you only need a small amount, it stays in place for most of the day, despite being under rigorous motion form my tongue and has taken the pain away. It does slip a bit if I eat a meal but is so easy to replace. Highly recommend.

This wax doesn’t stick to brace very well, very annoying

Arrived today, bought as got sore under lip from aligners, bit tricky getting wax to stick, but after looking on you tube ( as we do) need to have dry aligners and mouth best you can, take small amount of wax, roll it to make it warm, then put onto rough area, discard after use. Wax is hard at first, but does soften
