Quality paddle. Changed my ball placement expectations.
Quality. This is the first paddle you should ever buy, and the last paddle you will ever need, no reason to upgrade from here, and no need to ease into the paddle with a beginner cheapo. This paddle is now the go-to paddle for me and my wife. She plays a lot less than myself and just enjoys to go out once and a while. I play a lot on both indoor and outdoor courts. For experienced or beginners, this paddle has amazing ball control, great weight, a universal handle, and the ball comes of the paddle in such a quality way. Not to mention this paddle looks awesome, many compliments have been received at the courts. The paddle is durable and obviously made with some serious quality control, never been so impressed with any of my other athletic equipment. This paddle is the first of the dozens my wife and i have owned that has really given me the feel i have needed, milky sweet, finesse shots and ball placement have improved exponentially. Don't waste your money elsewhere, tell your friends, and buy a few so when you tear someone up on the courts you can at least level the playing field by allowing them to borrow such a pristine instrument. I know i will be buying a few more for those i invite to play. Cheers.

Helped my game right away
I have only recently started playing, and was using the club wooden paddles. As soon as I switched to this paddle, I saw better results. The weight difference matters, the surface makes for better returns and cleaner hits, and I find the sweet spot more often. This is a good beginner paddle, not too expensive but still well made and effective.

Bad chipping out of box, but Upstreet took care of it for me. Good paddle
Our office is getting into Pickleball. One coworker has a pair of the regular black Upstreet graphite paddles and has enjoyed them. I decided to support a fellow Utah company and try out the larger Nova version. Only available in blue on here that I can see. Several others in the office decided to hold off to see what I thought.I just got the paddles and opened the package to some major paint chipping on both paddles. If it's arriving like this out of the box, I can't imagine how this coating is going to hold up with repeated use. There are several paint pieces inside the neoprene sleeve (which also needed to be aired out more before shipment).I'm not sure when the paint started to chip but I imagine this is part of a much bigger issue. Hopefully Upstreet can get it worked out, but I can't recommend these until they do. I'm still not sure what to do with the paddles.**********UPDATE**********I reached out to Upstreet and they replaced the chipped paddles. I was concerned the new ones might have the same issue but they arrived within a few days and have been fine. I've been playing with the new paddle now and I've definitely enjoyed it more than a wooden paddle. The grip size and texture is nice. Seems like a great paddle for the cost

Disclaimer- I'm new to pickleball. The game is much more enjoyable and more of an aerobic workout than I thought it was going to be. The heavy wooden loaner paddle I'd been using was starting to aggravate the tendons in my forearm ("tennis elbow"). I didn't want to spend $75+ to buy a paddle and took a chance on this at $43. The lighter weight is much easier on my elbow and it seems a quality product.I want to add a comment about something I noticed just yesterday. I'm a former tennis player (tennis elbow and a knee replacement make me a "former" tennis player) and have used many different rackets. Without exception the wraps of those rackets' grips were all finished off with a vinyl like tape. If you've ever had to rewrap a racket grip you know how easy it is to scratch the shaft when you cut off that tape. This paddle's grip is finished off with several small strong rubber bands. They do the job and if they ever break or wear out I can use tape. Also if I ever have to rewrap the grip and they are still usable I can simply roll them off without the risk of any damage. Good design detail.

Excellent Quality Intro Paddles for Pickleball
I already owned two more expensive 'Composite Core' style Pickleball raquets, but I picked up an Upstreet pair so my wife and I could play doubles with neighbors who did have rackets themselves, or for pick up games where somebody didn't have a paddle.Ordered size Medium. Rackets played very similar to the more expensive 'Composite Core' rackets I already owned. A bonus for me is that the handle was slightly longer than my existing paddles. I am a 5'9" man with average size hands, and these Upstreet grips fit my hand great. A nice size grip for an average size person. These rackets are slightly heavier than my existing rackets, but still light weight overall. For the price, a great set of rackets for someone getting into the sport (or as a spare set) as these rackets play much truer than cheap wooden Pickle-Ball paddles.
