Works better than I expected
I’ve been using this with the light strip on the back of my color grading monitor for a few months now and love it. Pros: Easy to install Wireless remote works great I like the 3 preset low, medium, high brightness settings and that you can finely adjust in between Cons Sometimes when pressing the off button the lights will flash but stay on instead of turning off. The only way to get it off from there is to press the ON button and then OFF again. I believe this is because the strip thinks it turned itself off when it didn’t.

Probably the best lights available, affordable.
Have had biased lighting in the past to ease eye strain. This brand is all I've bought and it's worked well with 3 TVs now. Only issue I've had has been the lights cycling on and off when the TV is off (2 Sony OLED and a Samsung). This was a fault of power management to the USB ports and not the lights themselves. Buying the optional remote has solved this plus added the ability to dim the lights when needed. I haven't tried another brand simply because I haven't needed to. The lights themselves work very well and really help with eye strain in a dark room Photos show the dimmed and full brightness.

GREAT lights, but remote was DOA. New battery fixed, though.
We have had a Luminoodle string behind our OLED TV for years, and I usually unplug the strand before watching a movie, to give the room a theater quality. Figured I'd install an in-line USB switch, to save myself the hassle of getting up each time it needed to be unplugged or plugged back in.. and then I stumbled upon this! Literally a game changer. I can turn the lights on and off from the couch now, and the dimmer is a nice feature for late-night viewing or just as ambiance. PROS: Excellent build quality, flexible cable seems well-made and connections are crisp. Remote works from 10' away, and without LOS (line-of-sight), which is exactly what I was hoping. Complete control of all functions from my spot on the couch. CONS: The battery that came in the remote was garbage. Removed the plastic tab, and the remote seemed to be working, but as several others have stated, it was NOT controlling the lights. The manual switch on the cord itself worked, but I didn't want to spend $15 on a switch that I'd *still* have to get up from the couch for... so I swapped in a new 3V coin battery, and the remote works flawlessly now. However, it's absurd that it wouldn't function from the start. I'd love to give this 5-stars, but I removed one because the remote should 1000% work straight out of the box - this is not that crazy, but it can't be overlooked. Not everyone has spare 2032 batteries lying around; luckily, I did. Luminoodle, if you're reading this.. please test your remote / batteries thoroughly before shipping out, because otherwise this is an AWESOME product.

Works flawlessly
I won a ramen sign at an arcade a couple months ago and was pretty bummed that it only had one light setting (high) because I wanted to use it as a night light. I figured there had to be something like this and lo and behold there was. I purchased it and plugged it in and it worked immediately. I can now use it as a night light and get it even more dim than the low setting. I love this product.

So easy to use!
This switch was perfect for my 88yo Mother to be able to turn on the lumininoodle lights in her bath if the power was out. She was able to keep the remote in her wheelchair and turn on the lights without needing to replug the light string each time it was needed.

Works well to control some led lights
This is one of the very few remote switch controls I was able to find for a strand of USB fairy lights. I didn't know if I even wanted the dimmer function, but it is actually very useful!

Remote is very flaky
Firstly, didn't clearly understand that I would need this, but ordered as soon as I realized the lights would not go off when I turned off my TV. Easy to install/attach and worked okay for a tiny, flimsy, sticky papered remote, not unlike the one that came with my flameless candle set. Now that it's been a few months, I have to click multiple times to get the remote to respond. I never looked to see if the battery is replaceable, hopefully it will be!

Functional but Makes Noise
I purchased this along with a Luminoodle bias light strip to put on my TV. I'm glad I did, as the LED strip is a little too bright for a dark room (i.e. when watching a movie) without the dimmer. There seems to be about ~24 levels of brightness, which gives you a lot of flexibility, and it's nice that it "remembers" your settings for the next time you turn on the lights. The remote also seems to work well without requiring line-of-sight to the switch module. My only complaint (and reason for the 3 stars) is that it seems to make a high-pitched buzzing/whining sound when dimmed to anything less than full brightness, which is the whole reason for getting this dimmer switch. It's only noticeable when the TV is muted, but loud enough that I can hear it from the other end of the room. I think it might be OK for a TV since the sound of what you're watching should drown it out, but I imagine the noise would be really annoying if used on a computer monitor or something in a quiet setting.

I was scratching my head one morning, trying to think of something I needed. That's difficult at times... especially as I didn't want to spend more than 20 quid. Then I had a eureka moment. From the deep recesses of my gadget-driven brain I suddenly hankered after a device that would allow me to dim USB LED lights. "I wonder if there is such a thing?" — was the second thought. In no time at all I spotted the Luminoodle USB Switch and Dimmer (what a strange name though... Dimmer!!!). Anyway, it seemed like a decent way to spend less than £15 in my humble opinion. I had actually forgotten I had ordered it, such was the frivolity of the original need... but it was in my basket and purchased and I rapidly moved on to more pressing matters. Well, in almost no time at all it arrived. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the cable, a nice soft white flatish cable that oozed quality. I also noticed the unusual USB male plug part. Normally with USB plugs you take the initial 50/50% chance as to whether you are inserting it the right way (i.e. the blue plastic bit that fills the void of the female connection) — even though it's a 50/50% chance I always get it wrong first time and have to rotate the USB plug again to make the connection. Not with this clever little plug though... it can go in either way around so now us USB plug-fitters get it right first time every time! Now that's progress indeed. So I am already starting to love this chance purchase. The ON/OFF and +/- buttons do exactly as expected... the dimmer really works. Then you notice that it also comes with a wireless remote control. Well, in my opinion, a clever mind has gone into the manufacture and design of this small gadget. I haven't tested it in a snow-storm, or under water yet... but maybe that'd be cruel anyway. Bottom line is I LOVE IT! IT'S A BRILLIANT little, will defo come in handy, USB accessory. I might even be ordering another one soon... ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (21st Jan 2024): I was recently asked a question as to whether a single Luminoodle wireless remote could control more than one device. I decided to test and double-check that it would work. I can confirm (see video) that with the Luminoodles I own, a single wireless remote control CAN control more than one Luminoodle device, which adds to the incredible versatility of this great little USB device.

Bought this along with the luminoodle 24" pack to replace a flickering bias light on my monitor and it works awesome. My old backlight was either just on or off but the option to dim this one along with presets on the remote works fantastic. The only drawback is that it's almost as expensive as the lights themselves but there's a lot more tech packed into this than the lighting so I understand. EDIT: 3 years later and it's still working although the on and off buttons are starting to wear out. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it to toggle but that's expected when you use it every day for this long. I would still recommend it for sure.
