My original Dysan kit came with a floor power head but to my dismay the instructions said it was not recommended for hardwood floors! Then when I went to see about getting the Dysan version of the hardwood floor power head, they wanted to charge an exorbitant price! This power head is a perfect option that will work great with the Dysan V10 vacuum. It is very reasonably priced, has great suction power and the roller for hardwood floors is a nice soft nap that brushes everything into the stream of vacuum without scratching the floor. It is fully maneuverable and has a nice LED lightset at the front to highlight crud in front of it. The best thing about this power head is that because if brushes all the crud and hair so readily into its vacuum, the charge of the vacuum actually lasts longer! I don't have to keep going over a spot to lift up the dirt like when using just the brush nozzles. This means I can vacuum more of the room before the charge dies and the floor is actually cleaner. Great addition without the cost!

This vacuum head isn’t as strong or smooth as the original Dyson one, but it works fine for daily cleaning. The headlights are a nice touch, and it fits my V10 without issue. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done and is a decent backup if you need a quick replacement.

I just opened these attachments and tried them out. Awesome! Works perfectly! And I am so happy that there is a brush for carpet and a soft brush for hardwoods, plus a small attachment for furniture. This brought my old V6 Dyson back to life. Such a value for the money. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is an incredible alternative to buying the Dyson brand if you just need a part. I was so pleasantly surprised it light up, making it easier to see when cleaning. It runs smooth. Honestly, it may be better than the original! Do not hesitate to buy!

Eventually, the power head on your Dyson v10/11 requires maintenance beyond merely cleaning the crud a/o swapping the brush. I refer to disassembly: a lengthy, tedious, fiddly, generally unpleasant--and risky--chore. Faced with doing this odious task a THIRD time, I was motivated to find an alternative solution. A bit of searching on Amazon reveals the existence of a few aftermarket Dyson-compatible power head offerings. Each seems like a complete redesign of the kludgy OEM Dyson power head, and this appealed to me. That each product was compatible with the v10/11 AND is competitively priced is also appealing. Some have ACTUAL WHEELS, which is a definite upgrade from Dyson's ridiculous plastic disk things that wear unevenly, chip, and inevitably fail. What DIDN'T appeal to me is that these aftermarket products are generally unbranded Chinaseum-made doodads with dubious longevity and zero support after thirty days. But at only $20, I decided to give this particular power head a try. This power head comes with two new rollers: a bristle for carpets and a fluffy for hard surfaces. The thing fit the business end of the v10 want with zero interference or play, and it powered on as expected. It's comparatively quiet. The superfluous LEDs light. The roller spins. The wheels glide over every horizontal surface. Most significant: It vacuums as expected. Honestly, my expectations that the thing function at least as well as the OEM powerhead are satisfied. But is it a viable upgrade from OEM? My experience as of this writing is that this specific aftermarket powerhead performs nominally as the floor part of a vacuum should. On bare floors it gobbles up larger detritus without flinging it around; on carpeted surfaces it picks up hair and embedded stuff without clogging; presuming the correct roller is installed for the appropriate floor, of course. Bottom line: So far, I'm satisfied with my purchase of this aftermarket v10-compatible power head.. I'll update my review should the thing disappoint me in the smallest way. Find an aftermarket powerhead that suits your sense of usefulness and give it a try!

This attachment works better than the original Dyson part! I love it. I can vacuum my rugs in a fraction of the time.

Decided to purchase this for our V10 when my wheel assembly on the actual Dyson motorhead broke and was out of warranty. Here's my thoughts: Pro's: - Great value for the money and if you're not wanting to spend $100 on the actual Dyson replacement motorhead, this will get the job done. - The lights on the front are a nice addition and I'm not sure why Dyson hasn't considered doing this with their product. - It does have a smooth roll when using it - Light-weight so it's not hard to maneuver. - It comes with two rollers (a soft one for hardwood and another for carpet) Cons: - Light weight (I know I said this as a Pro but it is a bit concerning since it could be made of cheaper plastic and lesser quality parts that would effect overall durability). - Permanently angled near the hose attachment so it doesn't allow you to go down as far without the front of the motorhead lifting off the ground when vacuuming. This also causes the motorhead to stick out a bit further from the wall when placed on the charger. - Doesn't swivel as well as the OEM Dyson motorhead. I found myself struggling a bit when attempting to vacuum the stairs since it wouldn't swivel at close to 90 degree angle like the Dyson motorhead does. - The brush doesn't spin nearly as fast as the OEM Dyson and this caused me to miss quite a bit of dirt on my first pass. The motor that spins the brush is definitely of a lower caliber. Overall, it's not a bad replacement if you're in a bind but you do get what you pay for. I did decide to return it since it just didn't have the same "Dyson" feel when using it. I'm sure there might be better alternatives out there for a bit more money, but for now, I'm gonna bite the bullet and just order myself the actual Dyson product.
