Q: What is the power consumption when plugged in to the wall?

As an Electrical Engineer I have the tools and skills to answer this. Power consumption when the light is fully charged and nightlight is on (lit) n auto mode is <0.5 watt. For all intents that is nothing. Standard incandescent nightlights come in 4 and 7 watt values to compare. This is led so uses almost nothing and inductive charging when the unit is charged uses virtually nothing as well. When the light is being charged from fully dead the power consumption is still less than 1 watt so nothing to worry about.

No. If the flashlight is charging it is disabled. The only time the flashlight will work while sitting in the charger is if the power is out.

Q: The flashlight stopped working,is there a battey to change?

I got a 2 pack of an earlier model at least 5 years ago. The charger base on one stopped charging about a year ago so I just charged them back and forth on the good one until now. Both flashlights still work until I get me replacements. I don'y know about the new ones but I'm sticking with this brand based on my experience.

The night light at the bottom of the charging base that plugs into the wall comes on in the dark, and goes off when it is light, when AC power is on. It is powered by AC only. There is no battery power for the night light. The emergency 6-LED light is always off when the unit is in the base, AND the AC power is on. When you remove the light from the base, OR if the AC power goes off, the 6-LED comes on continuously. In this condition, the light has three modes toggled sequentially by the button: (1) on continuous, (2) flashing, (3) off. Again, the 6-LED light ONLY comes on when the power goes out, or the light is removed from the base. The night light is ALWAYS AND ONLY darkness activated.
