Great smart kettle. Pours well, temps consistent and adjustable.
Been using this for a few months and it’s a solid kettle. Nice being able to schedule or turn on the kettle from my phone right when I wake up. Temp setting is good, presets work well. There’s a custom DIY setting you can set and don’t need the app if you want to keep using that setting. I do wish I could adjust the preset settings as I prefer my coffee for pour overs at 206-207 and the preset for coffee is 205. And I use DIY for matcha at 170. Not that big of a deal, but would that would be something I’d change. Otherwise I’ve been using it daily for a few months with no issues.

Finally, good WiFi kettle alternative to Fellow Stagg EKG kettle!
I previously owned a Fellow Stagg EKG+ kettle. I loved the ability to turn it on using an app since I work on the 2nd floor, and my kitchen is on the 1st floor. Overall, I really liked the Stagg kettle, but my wife hated it since it has a very low flow rate out of the spout. It is good for making pour-over coffee, but it's annoying for her when she makes tea. Our Stagg EKG+ finally died and I had to find a replacement. Stagg has a new updated kettle (EKG Pro), but it's more expensive and has the same restricted flow rate. I looked around and it's surprising how few WiFi enabled electric kettles exist. I finally found the Govee and I was suspicious since it is really affordable. I was used to overpaying for WiFi-enabled devices. I bought it and I couldn't be happier - it is perfect for me and my wife who drinks tea! Pros: 1. Remote on/off via WiFi and the Govee app 2. Ability to schedule in advance using the app 3. Decent flow rate (much faster than the Stagg EKG kettle) 4. The "Hold temperature" button works even if you take the kettle off and put it back on the base. Some kettles turn off the "hold" when you take the kettle off the base. For pour-over coffee drinkers, it's common pre-wet the filter and pre-wet the coffee grounds before doing the full pour of water. This means you'll take the kettle off the base at least 3 times when making coffee. It's nice to maintain the "hold" of the temperature throughout the process. 5. The kettle heats water quickly 6. The app is easy to use - both initial setup of the Kettle to WiFi and ongoing use is simple in the app 7. The kettle is a great value - affordable with nice quality. It is definitely a much better value than the Stagg EKG kettle 8. It can connect to Amazon Echo and Google devices (I don't use this, but it's possible) Cons: 1. The app allows you to schedule heating of water in advance, but it is a one-time schedule. You can't (yet) set up a recurring schedule (e.g., heat up water every morning at 5:45am). 2. The volume of the kettle is 0.8 L which is small. It's enough to make a single cup of coffee or tea, but just barely. You'll have to refill each time - slow if you are making more than one cup at a time. 3. The looks are just ok to me - I think the Stagg EKG kettle looks better, but this is subjective and doesn't affect the taste of my coffee :-) In short, I recommend the Govee kettle and I'm very happy with the app and remote WiFi features!

Great investment
I've had this kettle for years! it still works. It heats quickly. It's temperature is reliable. You can use the app to schedule the water. It does have any leakage issues as long as you do not fill pass the "max fill line". It can be programmed to hold the temperature for 30 minutes or even more. You can even add DIY preset if you don't like the temps on the preprogrammed preset. The weight is light and the look is very nice. The exterior paint does not chip. it's been years of daily use and it is still chip free.

A Pleasant Surprise
Purchase decision: I was looking for a temperature-controlled kettle for brewing tea and coffee. There are much praise about the Fellow EKG in YouTube and elsewhere. But that is expensive for a simple kettle. So I started looking at lower cost alternatives (note: the Fellow is still an option if I can't find a lower cost one I like). I ended up with two alternatives: the Cosori and the Govee. One feature on the Fellow I don't care much about - the rate is restricted. That makes it good for brewing coffee and bad for other general applications. Both the Cosori and the Govee connects to a phone app for control. The Cosori with bluetooth and the Govee with bluetooth, wifi, and Alexa. Finally, I picked the Govee. Unpacking: What a surprise! For a $60 smart kettle, I don't really expect much quality. Yet, the packaging is superb. The paper instructions are clear and concise. The quality of the kettle and the heating plate is very good. I did fumble a little with the app, but not too bad. The app is stable and the interface is pretty good and easy to follow. Hooking up with Alexa is very simple with the instructions (with can't-go-wrong snapshot of interface). First use: Controlling the kettle with the buttons, the phone, or Alexa works as advertised - although I'm not sure how often I will use the fancy remote controls. I attempted to measure the water temperature. It appears that the temperature could be up to 5 degree F lower than the setpoint. But the thermocouple used was not calibrated so I won't put much weight on the data. May be I will try that again later with better equipment. First overall impression: Very good value for the $$. Will come back to comment on reliability, temperature accuracy etc. on later date. Update: I have used the Govee for about 1-1/2 years now. It is still going strong. Being a heavy tea drinker and a morning coffee drinker, I use the Gove no less than 6 to 7 times a day. Nowadays, I use the buttons on the heating base only. The Alexa and phone control thingies are cool for the first couple weeks and that's about it. Highly recommended!

Size vs function
I was drawn to the Wifi preprogram capabilities of this product. It replaced a 3 year old pour over electric kettle that died. While my old kettle's temperature function was manual and could be set to any, this kettle's water temperatures are locked in to presets. Even the DIY mode only allows you to set temperature to the presets. As noted in other reviews, the spout is larger than other pour over kettles and takes practice. It heats quickly to the preset temperature. My one star deduction is for capacity. Be aware when choosing this model it isn't going to give you a "pot" of coffee. I assume the feature which allows you to preset the start time/temp has to be reset every day is for safety. What if you forget to refill with water after each use. I found installing the app and using this function very easy on my android phone and have no Wifi problems. Question to repurchase is: Does the programming, moderate cost outweigh the size limitations?

Obsessed is as n understatement
I love that Govee is expanding their product line. I had no idea they made kettles until recently and I immediately added to my cart in time for cooler weather. I have several Govee products. I love the quality of every single one and that they are all controlled with the Govee app or my Alexa. On to the kettle review. It’s beautiful, modern, and sleek but fits in perfectly with my cozy, comfortable kitchen. I love that I can turn on the kettle while I’m still in bed so it’s ready when I go downstairs. Or with the tap of an app, on a chilly fall day, from the comfort of my recliner. There are different pre-settings depending on what heat you need (pour over coffee, oolong tea, etc), or you can customize the temperature you want. It also has a keep warm feature, which is convenient. It would be nice if this same kettle had a larger capacity. That’s literally the only thing that could make this better, in my eyes. 🖤

Love
Works great, heats quite quickly, pretty easy to pour with good control. The app isn't necessary but was very easy to connect (though I already had the govee app for some other devices beforehand), personally I really appreciate the convenience of being able to automate it, but it is definitely entirely usable without it. Design is solid, doesn't get too hot to the touch except maybe the lid if you block the steam vents. I only put water in it and it won't boil off so I haven't really had to clean it. Only downside is it's a little small, 0.8 liters, which seems very comparable to similar gooseneck kettles but if you make a lot of coffee or tea at once or for several people, especially if you preheat your vessels it can be a little limiting.

Great kettle with a few flaws.
I love the Govee ecosystem, and this kettle functions very well with the app including using their timer. The two main flaws with this kettle are the lid and the inability to change the DIY setting without the app. The lid is super thin single walled stainless so it gets ridiculously hot ever single time you use the kettle. What is disappointing about this is that it is so easily solved. I actually am using a double walled lid from an older and cheaper kettle because I hate the lid so much. Another minor gripe is that the hold function is restricted to 200 degrees f, which is low compared to other kettles that typically allow up to 206. Some positives are that the spout is very precise and makes 90 degree pouring possible and controllable. The handle is also ergonomic, although feels very plastic. I like the way that they built in the presets as well and I find them generally accurate for the tea types they labeled them as. For me, it is a total win because I love the integration w/ google home and had a replacement lid on hand.
