So, for any of you wondering, this product absolutely works! I have thicker, fuller hair at my hairline and it completely solved my stress over thinning. Give it time, you won't see a result for at least 3 months; but six months down the line, I have a LOT of hair in places that were thinning last year. It has a nice, minty scent. It isn't very moisturizing on my hair, but I use the complimentary conditioner that takes care of that. I highly recommend you use both products at the same time. Follow the directions thoroughly; I actually bought a rubber scrubby to ensure that I could really work the product into my scalp. I don't use it all over my head, just on the hairline where my hair was thinning. I use regular shampoo for the rest of my head. The bottle is small, so I like to conserve it for areas it will have the most effect. Again, don't hesitate if you are considering this; it really does work, it's like a miracle product!

I naturally have thick hair and I'm extremely picky about the kind of products I use on my hair. I spent hours analyzing ingredients to make sure that it's not something that may potentially damage my scalp or cause further irritation. With that being said I was a little skeptical about using Lipogaine as it seemed to good to be true, but I took my chances and decided to order a bottle. I can tell from my first time using it that it made a noticeable difference in my hair, I no longer had dandruff and my hair felt cleaner and thicker. One thing I love about this shampoo is how it nicely it lathers, I usually it leave it on for 5 minutes mostly to let the caffeine work it's magic and then rinse and I'm good for the day. TLDR: Great shampoo and I think it's highly beneficial for people looking to maintain hair health. TLDR: Great shampoo, lathers nicely and effectively cleans hair and gives it a nice shine and volume. PS: My fathers side was bald so I'm also using this shampoo as a safeguard against hair loss and so far I think that it's doing something.

I purchased Lipogaine 5 Shampoo on December 11, 2018 and have been using it daily since. Prior to that, I'd been using Redken Cerafill Retaliate Shampoo. For the record, I am 70 years old and have been losing my hair for over 30 years. I use a bad comb-over, as I am at the point where I have too much hair to cut off and not enough to keep. Not wanting to go to or get scammed by some "hair clinic" or wear a "rug", I thought I'd try this shampoo out. In terms of male pattern baldness, I have hair on the sides and was as smooth on top as a billiard ball. There was NOTHING there. I take no hair vitamins or any supplements with alleged ties to hair. In the time I've used the Lipogaine, as you can see in the pictures, I have sprouted some hair and a lot of fuzz. Took the picture in the dark shining a bright flashlight on it, as what has grown is white/gray and of thin diameter at the moment, so it wouldn't be visible in ambient lighting. I have been very surprised at the results so far, as I expected this stuff wouldn't work at all. What I don't know is if I use this stuff longer, more hair might fill in, or if I have maxxed out already. In any event, the jury is still out on Lipogaine. It has done better than I anticipated. You pay your money and you take your chances.......

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this product because I'v had bad luck in the past with other expensive shampoos and people raving of how good the product is only to be disappointed. I've spend hundreds of $$$ on expensive shampoo packages that promise no hair loss after 3 months and that is way too much money with no results! I really thought that this was going to be the same thing, BUT I've been using Lipogaine for one week now and I am EXTREMELY impressed with it. I don't have clumps of hair going down the drain! The smell is very pleasant. I use it every other day, my hair seems to be fuller and with much more volume! My only disappointment is that it doesn't moisturize my hair like other shampoos, BUT I will continue using it because my hair isn't falling out in clumps anymore AND the price is totally affordable!!! I finally found a shampoo that promises to do what it says its suppose to!! I'm in love with shampooing my hair again! UPDATE DEC 9, 2019: I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO RAVE ABOUT THIS SHAMPOO!!! SERIOUSLY!!! I bought my first set of BIG 5 back in August after spending hundreds of $$$ on "kits" that promised your hair wouldn't fall out! I cried so much before I purchased BIG 5 product because I was at my wits end thinking that I was going to be bald by the end of Sept because that's how much my hair would fall out! Well I took one more chance and haven't looked back! I have since purchased this product 4 x's !!!! It really, really, really, works! Since using it I have cut my hair 2 or 3 times, bleached it, colored it, I blow dry it, use a hot curling iron on it......AND I'M NOT AFRAID OF IT FALLING OUT!!! I LOVE BIG 5 shampoo and conditioner that I will NEVER use another expensive "kit" anymore! THANK YOU MAKERS OF BIG 5, YOU SAVED MY HAIR AND FOR ME THAT IS WORTH IT'S WEIGHT IN GOLD!!

This is NOT the medicated version of their shampoo. I purchased it thinking they had just changed the color of the bottle, but that’s not the case. Lost a lot of hair before I figured that out! I thought they had changed the formula too. Finally did some research and found that the medicated version (Big 3 shampoo with ketoconazole) that actually is amazing for decreasing hair loss is still in a white and gold bottle and is not available on Amazon anymore. You have to get it on the Lipogaine website. Totally worth the trouble to do that. This shampoo was just shampoo. It contains natural DHT blockers rather than ketoconazole, but it did not work to reduce my hair loss at all. It seems to work for many others, so it’s obviously worth a try. If it doesn’t work for you, I can highly recommend their Big 3 formula. Lipogaine is a company that seems to put a lot of care and research into their products.

Definitely different than other market products. One thing I notice is that this does not lather too much , which is actually a very good thing as it indicates absence of specific harsh chemicals and yes it's colour friendly. And that's the reason probably why it's costly. Using it since two weeks and it does give the hair a bounce . Will update more in few days regarding hair fall control.

Best hair loss prevention shampoo but very costly.

Only mild reduction in shedding. No thickening or increase in hair volume observed. Have been using it for over a 3 weeks now. Too costly. Won't invest again.

A must have shampoo.

I’ve been using the product for more than 6 months and i have seen no visible results which it claims to have on your hair. There a are lot of cheaper natural and harsh-chemical free alternatives in the market. I would not recommend to invest your money in this.
