Panasonic 2.2 cu. ft. Stainless-Steel Microwave Oven with Inverter Technology

Measurements indicated matched exactly to actual unit….important if you are trying to use an existing trim kit. Unit itself has improved interior compared to previous model where interior material chipped and deteriorated easily. Operations function well and performance is reliable and “as advertised”. Like that you can disable locking mechanism if young kids accidentally opening oven door isn’t a concern. Even heating of foods being nuked.u

The child safety upgrade should be clarified. The door intentionally, automatically, locks when you start the microwave. You have to push the 0 button button to unlock it. This is to ensure that the door will not open while the oven is in use. It can cause you some grief because you can't open the door until you intentionally unlock the door ... even after the time is up. After you get used this change the oven works great. Push the 0 button to unlock the door

Like the product but AMAZON has been a disappointment. Walking through Sam's I see my microwave on their shelf at $179. I JUST paid Amazon $286 for exactly the same item. Beware Amazon and shop around.

Pros: Powerful, The cooking that usually takes a full minute was accomplished in 30 seconds. Large enuf to actually cook a meal it really does hold a 9 x 13 baking dish. Buttons are easily identified. Cons: Interior is dark. The light for the cavity is abysmal. Not a open, welcoming sight. Not happy with dark interior, hard to easily see areas to clean. Exterior seems to get quite warm. The unit is on an open countertop with significant ventilation space. Just got it, not sure if this will be detrimental Mandated child lock.

Make no mistake about it this thing is doggon huge. It works great, and while others complain about the "extra step" of having to push the 'keyed' button to open it after use I really don't have a problem with it. Picky, Picky little mates.

Do not buy a Panasonic microwave. Purchased this in August 2025. Has been acting up for months. Shuts down part way through timed cycle. Locks up and the only way to unlock is to turn the breaker off wait 20 seconds and turn back on. Panasonic is no help. They don't have a number to call. You have to go to a certified repair shop. It's been there for a week and they can't find a cure for it. NEVER AGAIN!

THIS MICROWAVE IS WELL WORTH THE PRICE. NOT ONLY IS IT ATTRACTIVE, MODERN AND COMPACTLY SIZED WELL BUT IT FUNCTIONS AS ADVERTIZED. FIND PANASONIC TO BE DEPENDABLE. AFTER MANY YEARS OF GREAT SERVICE, ITS REPLACEMENT WAS, AGAIN, A PANASONIC....VERY NICE.
