We have used this size cooler boxes for shipping breast milk. The other box that I had (which was more expensive) the insulated cooler opens at the top of the cooler. This cooler splits in the middle, so you have to load both sides of coolers and put them back together. It was little more tricky to load, but my husband was able to load it without any issue and we were able to load the same amount of breast milk. The box that this cooler came in was HUGE. I wonder why they don't just ship just the box itself, but I suppose it because they don't want label the outside of your box. This is a VERY reasonably priced cooler. For those who are looking to ship breast milk, we have shipped each time at least 500 oz without any dry ice - we always tried to shoot for 2 day shipping, but we did have one box that took four days to reach it destination and the milk arrived fine. With two day shipping, the milk always arrived frozen solid. With the one that took four days, some of the milk on the other edge did start to defrost, but was still ice cold, so the receiving mom immediately put that in fridge to use first. I believe it was maybe a total of 20 oz that had thawed in transit.You can omit the dry ice only if you are shipping at least 300 oz, but I wouldn't go more than 2 days with just 300 oz. I have shipped using both USPS and FedEx.

I had this delivered to my hotel along with gel ice packs during a week-long business trip. It was a great size for six days of expressed milk with room for gel ice and layers of newspaper. The box went home as checked luggage from coast to coast with a connection and arrived in perfect condition. When I opened it at home the gel ice and milk were both frozen solid after about 10 hours of travel plus the eight hour work day.I have another week-long trip approaching and will be calling on Amazon to help a mama out.

I used this to transport frozen breastmilk on an airplane. I packed one week worth of milk and it was still frozen after 10-13 hours. I used ice bricks. I highly recommend.

I got this box given the reviews, especially by those who want to ship frozen breast milk. I have no idea how the other people were able to pack the milk, but the box opens up in the center so the top and bottom are equal sizes rather than opening at the top of the box. This of course makes it harder to pack. You essentially could only pack half the box which leaves nothing (or newspaper) in the other half.

Rugged and well insulated. Works better than I expected. Kept frozen for more than 15 hours.

Used it to carry 10 frozen pizzas as checked baggage on the airlines. It worked perfectly with two RB30 freezer foam packs. 12 hours later pizzas still frozen. TSA and the airlines had no problems with it. Did not have to open for them.

This was purchased along with some matching ice packs to ship some food from NY to FL. I have to say I love this purchase and will be using it again ! The lady at the pack and ship store was very impressed with it as well! Everything arrived perfectly packaged and safe and sound and still frozen ! Love love love this !!!

Great product, used to ship food to my son who is away at school. I love the fact that I did not have to go searching for a cooler AND a box to fit it in. One stop shopping. Will order again. I did order separately ice Brix to keep food cold.
