However, the anti sharp edge feature could create extra resistance when you open cans. It's a great multi-tool, but unfortunately non-functional as a can opener.I bought this because it was "Amazon's Choice". Now I know that designation is worthless.I haven't been able to open a single can with it. I run it around the can multiple times, but it doesn't cut through completely. And there is nothing on the can opener adequate for prying the lid off. All the other side-cut openers I've seen have a mini-pliers to grab the lid. Not this. Honestly, using this to open a can feels dangerous. And it's quicker to use my pocket knife!The other features work well though. It pops the pressure on a jar no problem. And it works on 2 liter bottles nicely. I may hold onto it if there's room in my drawer next to the new can opener I just ordered.

This is OK but not super easy to use. I find it a bit hard to turn. The Pampered Chef one, although double the money, is much easier to operate. Depends on what is more important. It does the job.

Yes, it does open cans, leaving a smooth edge, but it also opens water bottles of different sizes, beer bottles, wine bottles, andpress lids on paint cans. It lifts tab pulls and levers lids to release vacuum seal on jars. Includes converter ring to different size bottle caps, and instructions smooth operation makes it easy!

Very easy to use and durable. I've had it for a while now and use it often on big and little cans. It's the best manual can opener I've had. I've gone through quite a few over the years. The new can openers you can buy at local stores/supermarkets have cheap plastic gear shafts that break when stresses. This one is built well and the design puts less stress on the small parts. Also, the gear shaft is metal. The handle is ergonomically comfortable and is made of a tough plastic composite. Nice all around. I'd buy another, but it doesn't appear that I'll need t. This thing is tough.

As a can opener it doesn't perform or stand up as expected. So far I have yet to have it successfully open a can. The other functions of the tool are fine, but are so simple that they're pretty hard to screw up.

Bought this in December 2017. The pin on the bottom fell out. Apparently the pin is what allows the whole thing work. It does not work now and the pin will not completely go back in. I have contacted Konarad Pro-Kitchen about their "lifetime" warranty. I'll update this review after I know how they are going to respond.Sad because until today, this was the best opener I have ever owned, including some pricey electrics.4/13 update. No response, of any kind, from the seller. I would change the stars to ZERO if allowed. I dislike poor customer service only slightly less than being ignored all together. Instead of buying this product, take a $20 bill and burn it. Less aggravation.

Best can opener I have ever owned. I had a a different side cutting can opener in the past that was bigger, more complicated, and eventually broke. This can opener is super simple and leaves no sharp edges. Should also work on removing quick top ends for people that don't like the pull tabs.
