The mat really sticks to the work surface so that it does not move when rolling or kneading dough. However I give it an average rating for the plastic/rubber smell that was very strong. It took more than a month for the smell to reduce. Though it is not so prominent now it is still there. I haven't used it much. I will see if the smell goes away completely first before using properly.

Sticks to counter top solidly, easy to clean, great for kneading bread dough, rolling out biscuit dough and cookie dough. At first I was worried about it being so thin, but it works great and after cleaning it can be rolled up for storage. Great product!

I have gotten back into baking. This matte makes it easy to roll pie crust and knead bread. When I am finished I just dump the excess flour into the trash. Clean up is easy. I use a small amount of flour and my dough doesn't stick. I love having measurements on the matte for linear measure and circles. I keep this rolled up with my little maple rolling pin and I use it at least a couple of times a week. Great addition to any kitchen where pie crust or bread are being made.

This is just perfect for making rolling out biscuits and pie crusts. Cleans up nicely and easy to use and put away.

Good value and quality

I love this pastry mat and have wondered how I have not bought one of these sooner! It is great for rolling out pastry dough and noodles/pasta. What I love the most about it is that it does not skid but grips the counter which makes it easy to use the rolling pin. I bought one for my daughter-in-law and she loves it also. Easy to clean and rolls up for storage and does not take up much room in the drawer.
