When you try to screw any standard hose appliance onto the male end of the filter, it skips, strips, leaks and falls off. That *includes* the little extension gizmo that came with it. Curiously, the female end is correct and works fine. Why would they manufacture this thing with anything other than a properly sized American 3/4" hose thread? Are hoses different in China?Very disappointing. I would have returned it except that I ordered it more than a month ago and just got around to trying it. Now I'm stuck with useless junk that cost me money. Ridiculous.

I purchased two of these filters, both extension hoses are completely faulty and useless, they spray water out of all the joints where they compressed the hose to the fittings. I had to purchase one from local hardware store so I could attach it to my garden hose.

Absolute crap, doesn’t filter anything, waste of money! DONT BUY
