Browning Directors Chair - Outdoor Folding Chairs Made with Durable Fabric and Sturdy Aluminum/Steel Frame, with Extra Tall Seat and Flip-Down Footrest

The story: My parents enjoy sitting outside in "camping chairs". However my 92YO mother's mobility is 'degraded', and she cannot stand from a standard camping chair w/o significant assistance. This chair to the rescue, she now routinely enjoys sitting outside (again). This chair is high enough she can easily sit, then get back up w/o assistance. Also the 'footrest' is the perfect height to put her feet on, or she can let them dangle. My mother states the chair is comfortable for her. This chair is well made and worth the price. The side table is an added bonus for drinks etc.

I'm 5'-9 and weigh 300 lbs. I'm 63 years old and have had two knee replacements. These chairs are WONDERFUL. They are tall enough that it's much easier to get up. They are wide enough that you sit comfortably with room to move around a little and strong enough that you don't get that uneasy feeling of wondering if the chair is going to hold you. Also, with the added support across the bottom, you don't sink as much in sandy areas like you would with a chair that only has four straight legs.

This camping chair was purchased for my disabled son. He finds it extremely hard to sit in chairs that are normal height and has extreme difficulties getting up. This is especially true for doctor visits as doctor offices are not equipped to accommodate people like my son. My son is about 6 foot tall. The option of having a chair he can now take with him and actually sit waiting comfortably is great. He no longer has to suffer in pain as he stands to wait. He loves this chair. Its a perfect height and easy for him to get up from. It folds flat and fits in our small SUV. The only thing this chair does not have is a carrying strap or bag. Love this chair!

in response to all the wonderful campchair owners who answered my seat height question so promptly - yes the seat is 25 inches from the ground. the arm rests are 32 in high and the back is 39 in. the canvas is a high quality heavy duty weight. the chair is very sturdy and stable. it is stiff to open but locks in place which i consider a good thing. this surpasses any director type chair. at 5'10" i can hop in and out easily. at 9 lbs very portable but not flimsy. as most tables are 30" high ill be able to scooch up next to one for dinner. yes, im gushing - thanks for all the well deserved reviews that were sent in and add me as a very happy camper, eagle watcher, etc.

Bought this for booth seating at merchant fairs. Nice and tall, which makes it easy to get out of as I have bad knees and hips (I am also tall, so getting into the chair isn't bad at all. The problem I usually have with folding chairs is they are so squat that getting up again is a two-person process; with the Browning chair I can stand on my own every time. Now, the edge of the crossbars press into the back of my thighs after a while, but since I usually use a coxyx cushion I think I can avoid it. The arm-cushions are quite thin and held in place with velcro, I would like to find something thicker to replace them for more softness. The wide seat accommodates *my* wide seat (230 lbs, size 22). I love that the footrest can be folded out of the way, as I am clumsy.

I bought this to use for my clients as an Makeup artist & it is very sturdy but a little heavy to travel. I feel very comfortable having any size client sit in my chair, that’s why I got because of the weight limit. The only thing is wish is that it was lighter and that the foot rest was higher, other than that this is a great first chair to have and it seems like it will last a long time (another reason why I purchased it). I plan to cover it with faux fur or add a back pillow to make it extra comfy.

I was looking for a sturdy fold up chair to take to craft shows but didn't want the usual wooden, flimsy director's chair. I wanted something that sat taller than the folding chairs the shows usually supply us to sit in. This fit all the requirements that I wanted and needed. The foot rest is the perfect position and height. I have used this chair for all day events and it was comfortable the whole day. It is also wider than the usual chairs on the market. I have not had to clean it yet, but feel it would be easily cleaned. Would definitely purchase again if needed and recommend this chair highly.

Strong chair! I needed a comfortable, stable, lightweight chair for my hobby/workbench that can be used for hours at a time. As far as the weight rating is concerned, it's built well enough to hold The HULK. The backrest is lower than I would have liked (I'm 5'-7" tall), and REALLY feels more like a strap than a backrest after a very short time. And old, fluffy bath towel over the strap (with wife's permission slip) worked wonders on that. Retired kitchen chair seating pad keeps seat comfortable for looong hours. Footrest strap is weak and stretchy, won't stay in place when flipped up and pretty much USELESS. I removed the nylon strap and replaced it with a 1" X 2" piece of polyurethaned clear oak........ PERFECT.

I’m so happy with this chair I wasn’t sure from reading some of the reviews. It came fast and in perfect condition. I use it for my makeup company it’s the perfect height to do an application. I’m going to be adding another one soon.

The only thing I wish it had was an attached folding table to the arm rest and a multi use pocket bag over the other armrest. The chair is very sturdy and comfortable.
