UPDATED: Nice product but could use some improvements
First off, the unit arrived with the crate completely destroyed. It was made out of 1/8" plywood and was only being held together by the fours plastic bands. The Fedex driver and I couldn't unload it from the truck in it's condition, so we cut the bands and unloaded it piece by piece. Amazingly all the parts made it, but not the instructions. The unit is fairly easy to assemble, but it will help if you have help to stand it up after it is assembled. The unit is well built and I think it will serve me well. Now the reason for only four stars. Once my unit was built and ready for use, I attempted to raise it to the height of my shop. The cable winch on the first side worked fine. I raised it up one notch and went to the other side to do the same. The other side locks after the handle is turned about four times. I checked for any obvious issues, but didn't find any. After contacting the seller twice, their only solution was to return the unit. A pretty radical solution to a minor problem. The winch could be replaced by removing four bolts and two cable clamps. Much easier than several hours of disassembly and shipment! At this point I intend to keep the unit and fix it myself. UPDATE: A few days after this review I received an email from a different representative asking for me to identify the broken part. She worked hard to get me a schematic and eventually the needed part. It took about 15 minutes to install it and just like that, I'm a very satisfied customer! Thanks Kristen Zubor!

Solid and balanced Gantry for your home garage
I bought this crane for my new garage with 10' ceilings. The crane stands about 7.5 feet at it's lowest setting. I always wanted a crane to work on my ATV's, lawn tractors and trailers but really disliked using ramps or jack stands since they were always in the way. Not anymore, I can now lift the entire unit if I prefer which greatly provides more room to work on the underside of the ATV's and lawn tractor . The instructions have some errors on the diagram identifying parts but not really that big of a deal. The written assembly instructions are the same. Word of warning is that you will need a few friends to help raise the crane to its vertical position. I hooked up the chain block and used my garage rafters to stand it up. Moves easily around the concrete floor. I ordered it in August 2019 but only assembled it in March 2020. No problems with the parts, everything was accounted for, no damage during shipment. I purchased the chain block and trolley separately, installed them and everything works very nicely. Looks good to.

Great value and design
Received exactly what was ordered and fast too. Hoist is well designed and goes together easy. Not too heavy and rolls around nice and easy. Short enough to roll into the garage and can extend up to get tall stuff. Nice paint job. Already using hoist to pull heavy stuff out of my pickup truck. I researched it and this is the best deal out there for the money, size, 2 ton capacity. You wont be disappointed.

Tough on small garages
For all those with a garage height between 94” - 100” be aware that the crane sits at 100.5” with the casters underneath. Also keep in mind that this is larger than a truck width wise. All said and done I was aware of this issue and my ceiling sits at 92” with 88” being the lowest point to scoot close to the garage door. Due to this I had to fabricate some caster offsets to lower the casters 5 3/4”, and I had to take 7” out of the vertical square tubes, which also means I need to shorten and re-weld the diagonal support bars (haven’t done that yet in the images). Another thing to keep in mind is the chain and the dolly the hoist point is almost a foot underneath the i beam. Basically if you are within 94-100” ceiling you can either weld caster offsets or let the thing sit on the floor, if you’re lower than that (like myself) then much more fab is required. I may update this with more dimensions but essentially know the caster height is 6.5”, hole spacing is 119.5 mm by 66 mm. I beam is 6” tall. Vertical tube is approx 3 5/8 in width”.

Great gantry crane
I picked this up to help load heavy loads into the back on my pickup truck. Works like a charm. I assembled it alone and while it wasn't easy, it was doable. I would recommend to have some help when assembling. The unit itself is well built and seems quite sturdy. I found it was much easier to pick up the load and then back my truck under rather than trying to roll the gantry over the bed of my truck. The wheels don't want to move too well when it is suspending a heavy load. Overall I'm quite happy with my purchase.

You Get What You Pay For
I purchased this unit because my local Harbor Freight store didn't have any of their gantry cranes in stock. Product arrived in a timely manner and was simple to assemble. I have found 2 "cons" with it: first of all, it takes two people to raise or lower the bridge. At this time, this doesn't seem to be a big problem, but it could be in the future. Secondly, there is a lot of movement in the structure overall. Most of the play seems to be coming from the casters. However, these could be changed for higher quality casters relatively easily.

great crane for the price
It can be assembled without help. I used a sturdy pole and a ladder. Works great and the pin and lever system to raise and lower works well. Great crane for the price. Just the right size for a utility trailer or standard truck bed.
