11.6 inch chromebook case

I have recently switched to a 13.3" Macbook Pro Retina computer and I wanted something to carry it in, without a lot of bulk. This is certainly an acceptable mode of transfer. I have found that the quality of the product is good. Although it is not quick as thick as an iPad case we purchased, this is ample to protect the outside of the laptop while in transit. Regarding the smell - there is no doubt that it has a manufacturing smell to it, but that is due to the material and will fade. There is nothing to be done about that, and unless you are ridiculously sensitive you should be fine living with it until it has a chance to air out. The inside is lined with a nice soft cloth material that feels awesome enough to wear as a comfy pair of PJs. The zipper on the outside pocket of mine had come open (teeth pulled apart) when it arrived, but one zip back and forth and the teeth were back in place and working well. I like the fact that on the outside pocket, the zipper is hidden behind the flap of the pocket itself. Seems that it is a bit less obvious, and would have some extra protection that way. Nice touch. The material is equally thick all around the laptop and offers complete scratch and scuff resistance and medium bump protection. This would likely not completely protect your laptop if it were dropped, but would certainly do a good job of keeping it safe amongst bump and bruises in a larger carry bag, or by itself. The handles feel solid, and add a great feature to carry the somewhat slippery neoprene type material it is made out of. I like that they velcro together to make them seem like one handle (there is a handle on either side of the main zipper, but they will stick together for strength and comfort). They are very comfortable to hold. I am not crazy about the soft rubber zipper pulls, but that is really personal preference. I find hard plastic or metal pulls more easy to use. I suppose I could always use some 550 cord and makes loops if I want, but it really is a nit-picky thing to mention. They function perfectly well. All in all, this is exactly what I wanted for a light-duty protection for the laptop. Also - for those like me who overprotect, this fits perfectly inside the main compartment of the "AmazonBasics 14.1 Inch Laptop and Tablet Case" for days when you want more protection and a bigger bag with a shoulder strap. As a matter of fact, I carried it to work today in this sleeve, inside the other bag, and just unzip each to remove the laptop. Hope this helps for anyone who likes to be extra careful with stuff. Great product small light and potite really would recommend it for all computers

Ordered for my new HP 11.6 inch notebook and it fits perfectly. Not too tight and not too loose. Can't find anything near as nice for the price. Like other reviewers have noted, it has a really nice fleece-like lining. Double zippers are convenient and they seem solid. Outside pocket is nice. It's a little snug for some chargers, but it's nice to have the option. It would also be good for flash or external hard drives. Yes, it does have a strong chemical smell when taken out of the package but it fades pretty quickly. It is not a deal-breaker by any means. The handles are cool but I don't use them. What's nice is that they stay totally out of the way if you don't want to use them. As a side-note, I ordered one for my brother's new Asus 11.6" Vivobook. It fits, but is very snug. It's not a quick drop-in and pull-out case like it is for my HP. It does fit but you have to sort of work it in there. I would say it's still worth it for the price. The Asus is 11.9" in outside width. I would say that anything that width or less would be good but don't go any wider. To summarize, it's absolutely perfect for my needs. Stick to computers 11.9" wide in outside width or smaller and you will be very happy with the product.

I love this case, and I'd like to address a few issues brought up by other reviewers. 1. The case does have a smell when it is first removed from the plastic wrap. This is typical of neoprene. The smell dissipates very quickly. 2. The styrofoam insert keeps the case's shape while being shipped, but it should be removed before putting your Chromebook into the case. 3. Great feature: The zipper is two-way, so it can be zipped from either side or from the center. It has nice big pulls. 4. Great feature: The outer pouch has a zipper, so your accessories are secure. 5. The size is perfect. It fits snugly around my Samsung 11.6 inch Chromebook, and provides protection while being small enough to fit into my locker at work. 6. Great feature: The handles! I looked at several neoprene sleeves that for some reason did not have handles. The handles on this case have velcro to connect them when in the closed position. 7. Great feature: The soft lining is so nice. I haven't had the case long enough to determine durability, but it looks well made, and the price is terrific!

My Dell Chromebook fit inside this like a glove. The zippers are very sturdy and strong. There is ample padding inside to protect the book. The quality looks to be very good for the price. There is a pocket for the cord on the outside but it's too small. The bulge is unsightly and just doesn't fit. There is not enough room with the Chromebook for the cord.

I bought this for my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga, which has a 12.5" screen (measured diagonally). It fits my laptop just fine and there is a little bit of room left to spare since my laptop is smaller. However, there is a foam padding that came inside with the case which I decided to keep and use it as an extra protection. That made the fit a bit more snug and more bulkier, but not too bulky. The case itself alone is soft and flexible but has enough cushion to provide adequate protection. It has handles on either side that can be stuck together with Velcro, which makes it easier and safer to carry than just the case itself. There is a pocket in the front of the case that can be used to store your laptop's AC adapter other things, but I choose not to use it for the AC adapter when I can because it'll become too bulky for my taste. Also, the front pocket could have been made larger (its zipper closer to the handles) to better accommodate wider or larger things; this way it wouldn't be too tight when zipped and would be slightly less bulky (less tension in the sleeve). Overall, the case is great for the price and I would recommend it.
