Itty Bitty Abridged Booklight

I love reading at night, well past after my husband shuts off all of the lights. Generally I was using a super cheap book light I would get for Christmas or even a flashlight but everything was so bright it was like I was a little kid again. I would read and suffocate under our heavy down comforter trying not to light up the room. After reading multiple reviews as well as looking at some other book lights I finally decided to drop the cash on this one. I tried using it the night I got it and was so excited about not having to crawl under the covers! ...until I turned it on. It lights up our whole room!! There is NOTHING discrete ab

not sure why. i like this light a lot; but a have had a few and none seem to last very long. always have bulb problems.

It's bright. It's easy to use. However, it's anchored to the wall with a plug. Kind of lame having a cord stretched across the bed to use it. It does make reading easier though. Look for the kit that includes the battery

Love this book light. You can position the light and it stays in place , you can use plugged in or battery operated, light weight so can be used on paperbacks as well as hard covered books.

Just right. No batteries. Light weight. Ordered the first one for my Mom and loved it so much that I had to get one for myself.

This the original Itty Bitty Book Light. It does a good job of illuminating the page and it weighs next to nothing, so even on a paperback, you probably won't notice it. However, if you ever fall asleep while reading, this light is dangerous as it gets very hot. I have two second-degree burn scars to prove it. And you should NEVER give this book light to a kid. I recommend the Zelco Itty Bitty Book Light, Volume 2 as a better alternative. It is a big improvement in safety, the light is better distributed, plus it's easier to replace the bulbs. This light needs replacement bulbs, which are expensive, and the fine wire from the book light to the power source is fragile and prone to breakage where it comes out of the light, even after design improvements several years ago. I have tried probably 8 or 10 different book lights, and I always come back to the Itty Bitty Book Light. Even with all the disadvantages, this was my light of choice until the appearance of the Volume 2 version. I think my next purchase is going to be the LED version ( Itty Bitty Book Light Led Max 5 (Zelco Book Lights) ). No hot bulb, and no bulbs to replace.

5th itty bitty I have owned and it seems to be the best quality yet.
