Norstar DAVR-3000 3000 Watt 110/120 to 220/240 or 220/240 to 110/120 Step UP and Down Voltage Transformer and Automatic Voltage Regulator Stabilizer

I was blowing out circuit boars on my AC unit (Split System) and it was due to overvoltage. My 120V power from the pole would go up to 140V periodically and blow the board. After 4 replacement boards I found this unit that has solved all my overvoltage issues. I plugged the AC into this and have not had an issue since June 11th 2021. We are in NC and this unit works hard to keep our Laboratory cool. Without this unit I would have already blown another circuit board. I'm very impressed as to how well it works. It keeps the power at a steady 110V. I'm sure that it would do the same for 220V.

First of all, this transformer will not give you 50hz as stated in the description. If you have a 230v device that requires 50hz frequency this thing will not work but it states it does. See my video. It also does not dispaly accurate voltage, always stays at 220v. Secondary, the unit came damaged, see my picture. It looks like everyone gets this this item banged up. Maybe they throw them off the roof to test durability.

I've been using my Norstar-3000 for three months now and so far so good. Bought this DAVR for a couple of 110v, 200wpc amps and a bunch of sound processors in my 2-channel/home theater system and it barely gets warm. Just found out today that it's designed to be left on continuously without overheating so now I don't have to worry about having forgotten to turn it off before getting out of the house. The digits on the upper screen continuously change from say, 237- up to 245 volts while the screen below shows a constant 110volts. Highly recommended!

The search took a while, but found this perfect addition for my American appliances while in Europe. I used this for an instapot and worked perfectly well for hours long. It doesn’t make noise. CONS: It’s a bit heavy and takes up some space.

I purchased this with high hopes for precise readings and reliable performance. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory due to a significant flaw in the product. Inaccurate Voltage Display: The primary reason I bought this device was to monitor voltage accurately. Sadly, it consistently fails to provide precise readings. I've cross-checked it with several other reliable meters, and this one is always off by a noticeable margin. This inaccuracy renders it nearly useless for any serious work that requires precise voltage measurements.
