3M Super Strength Molding Tape, 03609, 1/2 in x 5 ft

Had an exterior plastic body panel that had a plastic bracket break, the $140 part is not worth me buying if I could get it to adhere with molding tape (I'm not a used car salesman, and I'm planning on keeping this car till the wheels fall off). The part is stable, and feels more secure than the opposite side. I also purchased this for a rear bumper cover and it is secure. Only complaint is that it is hard to get the red strip off, though the tape is so adherent, that I wouldn't want it any other way.

Great Product. I needed some heat and humidity-resistant tape to hold a part in an in-dash radio unit. I could not glue or attach with screws. This product did the trick immediately.

Super strength and performance even in cold weather application. Used it to apply the vent visor around 40 degrees F and rain couple hours later. Still holding strong and not going anywhere.

Purchased this tape as a last resort to hold our 'Rear View Camera' onto our rear interior light lens (Hyundai Santa Fe). We live in Las Vegas where extreme heat (120'-130') inside the car when parked outside can melt the best of any sticky tape, I know because I have tried most of them. Their tape would stick for about a week or so and then give up and our camera would drop and then sway like a pendulum when driving, pretty much eliminated the purpose of having a rear view camera when that happens. Then I came across this 3M tape & decided had nothing to lose, so ordered this tape and another type of 3M tape. I put this on first, just a small amount. So far after scorching, burning, skin peeling, eyebrow scorching heat inside our car, this tape seems to be enjoying it and is working great...and it has been for nearly 2-months. Buy it if you have a tough, sticky project, just make sure you help it by doing minor prep work ahead of applying the tape. I sanded our plastic lense lightly as recommended and then cleaned with wet rag, waited for it to dry and then applied the tape onto our camera mount, then peeled off the other side and applied....No more falling camera! Now we can see where we've been and who's behind our Hyundai much too close for comfort! UPDATE: Aug 6, 2020 It has been a year since I applied this 3M tape to hold our rear view car camera. With soaring interior heat inside the car when parked & AC off (we live in Las Vegas) this tape is still holding strong. Awesome tape!

Didn't hold as expected. I have light-weight foam pads that I have attached to the ceiling of my Jeep. The smaller ones over the front seats stay on but the larger one in the back doesn't. The original sticky 'tape' that came with the ceiling cover (to dampen sound and insulate somewhat from sun heat) didn't stick either; so I hoped this 3M would work better but it didn't.

I used this successfully to remount the wind/bug deflector on the GMC Sierra's hood. It is only a 1/4 or the thickness that was used to originally install the deflector but it has done the job. Has not come undone even after the sweltering hot summer days. Good product. Just make a point to clean up the surface. That will take up all or your time. It is important that you get everything off on the hood and on the deflector. Tedious. Scrape with a plastic edger tool like a narrow putty knife. Then use alcohol to prep.

Compre unas molduras para mi auto y el pegamento que traian malisimo, lo cambie por esta cinta y ya va casi un mes bajo la lluvia y polvo y siguen pegadas exactamente en la misma posicion. excelente producto

Un gran producto pero si hay que considerar que es extremadamente potente. Una vez pasado el tiempo y que la cinta secó será muy difícil poder quitar lo que sea que se haya pegado. En pared puse un módem y un enchufe multiusos, al quitarlos, además de batallar (le había puesto bastante cinta) me traje la pintura de algunos pedazos. Así que con poca cinta en esquinas será más que suficiente
