Good Enough For A Michelin Chef
I was introduced to this mini-butcher knife at a Michelin-star Chef Pop-up Dinner when it accompanied a duck dish. Everyone at the dinner was enthralled at how cute it was! Such a fun touch instead of using a standard steak knife. I immediately came home & ordered some for my own dinner parties. Very sharp, it slices through meat with no effort. It will definitely give your guests a giggle.

I purchased this to see if the holes in the blade effectively reduce the friction and making slicing easier. Meh. Maybe a little - but I really don't think so. The knife itself is pretty janky. Very lightweight. And dull as a butter knife when it arrives. Spent a good 15 minutes sharpening it. I have a feeling it will not hold an edge. Maybe it would work on some cream cheese - except for the holes. Ha. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Needed something to cut through Velveeta
If you know, you know. Velveeta is ridiculously hard to cut. I have used all the techniques, including running a knife under hot water. This works. So, it is a breeze when it comes to brie and Camembert.

Quality
This small knife is designed for cheese cutting however I use it for cutting small vegetables like peppers, onions and tomatoes. The knife has some weight to it, comfortable handle. Recommend it if you’re looking for a small knife.

Made for left handed people.
Did not slice well when holding cheese in my left hand and slicing with right hand due to the edge shape on blade. Also had the cheddar cheese I was slicing stick to the blade. It was actually worse than the standard blade I was using before I ordered this one to deal with the cheese sticking to the blade. I would recommend another with better reviews if cheese sticking to the blade is your concern.
