Super satisfying zap sound. Sometimes a little startling but worth not being stung by mosquitoes. We get mosquitos through the gap in the screen in our apartment. I’ve tried putting up tape to cover the gap but they always find a way in. I hear this thing zapping them all hours of the day. The light doesn’t hurt your eyes and there’s a safety cage. We hung it on the wall with some zip ties and a 3m hook rated for something like 15 pounds. Don’t want to chance this thing falling and my son getting to it or it catching fire to a toy or a jacket or something wild. Would be nice if it had mount holes, similar to the smoke detector in the attached photo. On that note you could probably drill some yourself if need be but it’s would be a nice addition. This thing is the bomb, definitely buy it. Don’t buy glue traps. They don’t work for mosquitoes. This thing works amazing for flies. They wait at the door and come in, they go straight to the light within 5 minutes, day or night. The flies make the most noise! Super satisfying and safe product. Definitely recommend. Worth the money The second photo shows about 2 months worth of mosquitoes. Surprised there’s not more being we hear this thing all hours of day. Guessing they just get incinerated. Also it doesn’t set off the smoke detector but sometimes you can briefly smell their burnt remains. The detector is less than a meter away so there’s no need to worry about any smoke alarms going off on you.

Flys have got to be one of the most annoying things to have buzzing around your house and wanting to land on food. The weather is finally nicer here in Arizona and with that we had an influx of flies wanting to come inside as soon as we opened a window or opened a door. The joy I feel when this things zaps the flies . lol it does a good job. My daughter already said she’s going to take it camping for her tent.

This zapper works well for flour beetles, but doesn't seem to attract mosquitoes - which were the main reason for the purchase, hence the three stars. We are keeping it because it keeps the flour beetles at bay. If you want to kill mosquitoes, find something else.

I’ve had this since July 2024 and still outside 24/7 alllll year long under my Costco cedar gazebo it’s disgusting but it saves me from bites as I attract mosquitoes and so does my 96lb Amstaff. I live on Camano Island washing right next too a creek and a sea bed cove so it’s a living nightmare mate since the weather has been so weird in this state most 100% to weather modification cloud seeding because I live in Kentucky for 5+ years moved back in 2013 and growing up in Washington we’ve always had mild summers and winters on the west side I-5… This is worth it and when it blows out I am not cleaning it I will just buy another! This island is rural and a bird sanctuary so I have a ghetto Xmas garland to keep the birds from eating dead bugs and flying near my porch. Doesn’t bother my year round humming birds as I have a warming feeder as well. 🫶😄❣️

I probably won’t use this for a few months because of Winter. I wanted to write an initial review. I am pleased with the weight of the light and will be easy to hang. It does come with hooks to hang the light. It is quiet with zero noise. The light is bright and the plastic finished nicely. I will update this review when I am able to evaluate its effectiveness. First impressions are it will be a good bug light.
