Is the dose of Lithium ion 1mg or is it 1mg of the Lithium Orotate compound in each capsule?

The serving size of Lithium Orotate is 1 capsule, which provides 1 mg of elemental Lithium.

Does a capsule contain 1mg of the active ingredient (lithium) or 1mg of lithium rotate? if it's lithium orotate it only has 0.04mg of actual lithium.

Pure Encapsulations list all their ingredients on their supplement labels. There are no coloring agents, preservatives, fillers, etc. in the Lithium (Orotate).
