Good but you pay for it
The oak wood was aged dry easy to lite . Works great good smoke flavor but expensive. I am a lot more careful not to waste any good wood getting a fire started that I was when I was using oak wood from our oak tee to start fires 🔥. I let my oak sit a year but it was never as easy to lite and it took a lot more effort to keep hot . This work lites easy and burns fast never needed starting fluid with it . It makes smoking easier .

This is really clean nice wood
I bought a box of this after reading the reviews. The shipment came on time and really well packaged. The box is packed full. There are both larger logs and smaller pieces to fill the space fully. The smaller pieces will make great kindling. The wood is exceptionally clean and dry and burns really well. Is it economical? Hmmm probably not the cheapest. But the wood is high quality, burns clean and hot. It’s a good alternative if you can’t locally source but you are paying to ship logs… so it’s not the most efficient way to buy fireplace wood I love the way birch burns, so it’s worth it to me.

Good Wood Bad Price
The wood burned great and had some good smell to it over I was happy with the wood. I wish the price was more reasonable I’d buy tons over the winter for my fire place. Just can’t justify when I can go and buy similar sized bundles locally for about 1/4 the price. Bought some for $10 and lasted just as long as the box I received for $47. I’d buy more if the box was even $20 but at $47 I’m going to sadly pass on a follow up purchase.

Not worth the cost and not birch.
I grew in Michigan and was so excited to have birch wood shipped to my home so I could hear the crackle. This is not birch! $35+\box for wood that burnt up so fast we went through the whole box in one night. I’ve been had! Great starter kindle, but you can buy that for much less than this.

A great solution for the urban car-less who lust for beautiful natural fires
I am quite pleased with the quality and packaging of this wood product. The wood is kiln dried and therefore insect free--otherwise it could not be shipped out of Michigan. The length of the pieces is perfect for my artificial fireplace; and it burns quite smoothly with a nice flame. I use it in conjunction with an artificial log, but given how dry it is, probably you could do ok with just a fire starter or even newspaper. Given the price for wood bundles here in Washington, D.C., the price is quite reasonable. And given the free shipping (not Prime but quite fast), the wood soon arrived on my door step. For those of us who are car-less urbanites, this is the perfect solution with the free shipping. I am ordering a second box quite soon.

Not as great as the first time around
I previously ordered a XL box of Maple and it was fantastic. It smelled great and I never had to worry about relighting. Unfortunately this box did not do so well as several of the pieces I've had real trouble keeping lit. I keep my firewood inside so there's no chance of it getting wet. Maybe a few pieces got skipped in the kiln process and packed? I'm not sure and don't know but it definitely wasn't as pleasant as my first order.

Expensive, but it burns hot and smells amazing
$30 for the maple logs is a lot of money when I can get assorted logs at my grocery store for $7. However, the quality of these logs is amazing. You get the alotted weight and some logs are bigger than others. However, the smell produced by these logs in my solo firepit is amazing and only 2 of these logs in my firepit gave off a great flame and heat. We also cooked ribeye steaks above these logs and the taste was phenomenal. Do I use these exclusively, no. However I like to keep these around and throw them in the fire occasionally for that sweet aroma.

Good wood
Great long chunks of wood. Great option for people who can’t drive to get firewood.
