USA TODAY Crossword: 200 Puzzles from The Nation's No. 1 Newspaper

Easy crosswords were just too simple so I went on a search for medium puzzles. I'd consider this book to be closer to difficult. It's rare that I can finish a puzzle without searching the internet for an answer. Thank heaven for Wordplays for Crossword. They don't have an answer for every clue, but enough to keep me plugging away. Love that some of the clues force you to " think outside the box." For example: What a busboy clears? Answer: "Table of contents." Obvious, but made me think. I was extremely glad to find a puzzle book that didn't make the assumption that everyone working crosswords is unable to see a normal size font, and I like the approx. 5x7" size of the book. I'm only at puzzle #28, but already searching for Book 2. Great for a senior citizen to be sure the brain still functions.

This is a great crossword book. Has lots of crosswords, easy to read.

After completing the red and light blue versions of this crossword book, I am now attempting this purple version. I was a bit taken aback to find the puzzles are a lot more difficult than the red and light blue. There are many clues I have no idea on, and even when looking up the answers I am not sure I understand. I think it contains a lot of facts that are more obscure than the red and light blue did. Some may like the higher difficulty. I am still enjoying the book, but it's taking me a lot longer to do each puzzle, I'm having to look up a lot more answers, and it's a wee bit frustrating at time.

Medium to difficult puzzles. Good for the daily crossword user.

The answers to their clues make no sense a lot of the times so I have to cheat , I am pretty good at crosswords but this book is pretty hard to figure out

The USA TODAY Crossword: 200 Puzzles (Volume 2) was an excellent gift for my grandpa! He loves doing crosswords, and this collection kept him entertained for hours. The puzzles are well-organized, challenging but not too difficult, and perfect for keeping his mind sharp. It’s a great mix of fun and mental exercise. He absolutely loved it, and I’m definitely considering getting Volume 1 next! Highly recommend for any crossword enthusiast!

A great crossword book! I love the size, the paper, the puzzles themselves. If all the many crossword books I've bought, and there have been a lot, the ny times are my favorite. 200 puzzles per book, the clues are sometimes just ingenious, and a bit of a challenge to the brain. Get these books if you love crosswords. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Great size/format for transport in daily commute to get some puzzle time in.

came promptly and good puzzles. not silly easy, just average. great for those moments you are killing a fw minutes. I ordered another one too.
