Princeton Tec Remix LED Headlamp (Black/Dark Gray, 450 Lumens White and Red)

I bought this because it has two levels of red light and that's perfect for hunting. It's very bright when the white spot light is turned on. I would definitely recommend it.

The light is easy to use, I like that it starts in Red light low, it has a single switch that if pressed multiple times it will get brighter and a press and hold will switch to white light. It is nice and light, seems well made but I am a little disappointed in the battery door as this seems like it will be a failure point. I also am unsure on the weather resistance of it. It does not seem that well sealed against the elements. The low power mode leads to a long run time.

I bought this headlamp as a gift for my dad, & he loves it! It’s great to have for emergencies such as power outages or when you need hands free light when working on a project! The headlamp is a great value for the cost, very easy to use, & a comfortable fit with an adjustable strap.

The default behavior of this light is switch on with a dim red light that preserves your night vision. Many other LED flashlights and headlamps get this wrong, first blinding you with brilliant white light before allowing you to select red which defeats the whole purpose of the red light feature in the first place. Kudos to the Princeton Tec engineers for getting this right! If you do want brilliant white light, it certainly has that. You just need to consciously select it. The build quality and materials of this headlamp are top notch and it is lightweight and comfortable to wear. Last but not least, it is made in USA!

Just what I wanted. Just what I needed. This headlamps is a solid source of lighting, especially when you need something hands free. The only problem I have with it is that the beam is wider than I’d like. As it shines at further distances it acts more as a flood light….. It just needs to be a little tighter. The materials and build is quite good. I do wish however that the battery door was a little easier to open. Instructions there are not very clear and it took me a while to figure it out. Once I did that the next time will be easier….
