Can you clean it in the dishwasher?

Hi Robin. I ordered these and have used them for a while. I am not sure what the manufacturer's directions are about the dishwasher, but I have put them in the dishwasher myself. The strainer itself was fine and did not melt, but there are about 4 strips of glue that hold the stainless steel ring to the plastic strainer, and that glue melted when I put it in the dishwasher. The glue did not make any mess, but the ring will fall out if you hold the strainer upside down. The ring still stays on right side up because the ring has four metal tabs on it that go into grooves on the strainers. I just used gorilla glue and put 4 tiny dots around and glued them back and they are good as new. I wouldn't let this keep you from buying these strainers. They look cute and have last several months now, much longer than any regular metal strainers. Hope this answer helps!

Why is one ribbit joie kitchen sink strainer basket, frog $3.99 and another is $13.03?

Yes, they “SHOULD” be priced the same based on manufacturer cost vs. retail cost. However, if you understand ANYTHING about basic economics (In the US, anyway), you’d know about “Supply and demand”. After all, if you were looking to sell your $20,000 car and for whatever reason it suddenly became a very desirable “One of a kind” (Thus causing its value to quadruple), would you insist on still selling it for $20,000? Or would you take the $80,000 that someone’s willing to pay? Even if you donated the extra $60,000 to a worthy charity? A somewhat extreme example, but an example nonetheless. In short, the one at $13.03 is selling much better than the one at $3.99! Plus, when an item doesn’t sell, it costs retailers $$ to store those non-selling items. To avoid paying to store something that continues to diminish in value (Losing even more money), they need to repeatedly discount them (lower the price) to get rid of them. Lastly, the higher priced items help decrease the loss made on the lower priced item. Speculation isn’t a definite.

Joie Flamingo Kitchen Sink Strainer Basket - Totally Cute

This Joie Flamingo Kitchen Sink Strainer Basket is totally cute and a good value. I love the color, and it is quite sturdy. It fits the water drain well and is easy to clean. It may not work quite as well as some more expensive strainer baskets, but it works well enough for us. I would definitely purchase this cute sink strainer again; five stars from me.

Fits my sink drain perfectly. Looks like it came with the sink, but there is a cute little flamingo greeting you when you wash every dish. Let’s water pass through and blocks all debris that would clog the sink.

Best sink stopper ever..I used to buy the ones from Dollar store but sometimes water woulnt drain through and back up. I do not have an issue with that with this one. It is very cute. They have different designs. The one I currently have is the frog. The size is for any standard kitchen sink. Would not fit in bathroom sink. I may have a different kind. Will include in photos. As for the kitchen sink it covers the entire hole area and food debris does not get through the sides. One con is they jack up the price at times. I purchased them only when it was on sale and I got it for between 4 to 8 dollars. I change mine 8months to a year . You can easily clean it...yes take out debris but I mean actually rinse clean it to prevent smell. The designs make me smile so thats a bonus when doing dishes etc. Summed up does what it says, not for bathroom sink and wait for sale price.
