Worth it for a quick and easy install on a dash cam
Worked for a 2025 Ioniq 5 SELAwesome way to add a power connector for a dash cam with minimal wiring.

Works as advertised
Super easy to install and works in my 2026 Kia EV9 Wind. I was afraid the dash cam would still get power after the car is off but it turns off immediately. Setup took maybe 5 min.

Simple just plug it in and clip in your camera.
I Just hooked it up and it works fine. A little bit pricey for nothing more than a Y cable but then again, they have to connect all those little wires together and get special clips and stuff. It'll be nice if they can come up with a wiring loom that uses a little bit softer wire to make it easier to conceal behind the rearview mirror. Those wires are very stiff and hard to fold it into small areas.

A Tad Expensive BUT Very Much Worth the Price
Purchased for year old car and installed it in less than five minutes. Absolutely perfect.I have probably fabricated a couple dozen wiring harnesses and pigtails over my lifetime and always found it a tedious, time-consuming and risky endeavor. First, the build your own, you have to locate an appropriate power source. Second, you have to gather the right supplies including connectors/splices/adapters/wire/soldering iron and connectors, heat shrink, and the list goes on. Then you have to spend an hour or two fabricating, testing, and crossing your fingers. In the end, the frustration level is so great you it adds to the chances you will lose your mind and screw it up.This basic pigtail, on the other hand, comes ready to plug in with good instructions, took less than five minutes to install, and the job looked incredibly clean and professional. What's more, no tedious and risky splicing into the wiring harness of an almost brand new car. Most importantly, the sweet little device was probably close to break-even if you consider the cost of the materials. If you consider the value of time-saved, it was definitely a win.

Long cord to 12V charger no longer needed.
The device functions by tapping into the powered rear view mirror and the adaptor is ordered by car model. It was easy to install even by a fumble-fingers older installer. The single detractor for which I subtracted one star was the USB-A to USB-C cord was shorter than I had preferred. The USB A extension to the adaptor is long enough to reach the rearview mirror cover near the dashcam which does make the adaptor cord long enough. However, I would have preferred to install the adaptor end inside the plastic rearview mirror casing and have only the cord reach the dashcam. However, the items in the kit function perfectly and my comments only reflect my preference for a cleaner looking install. (The longer cord I wish is available via a third party. Again he product as promised and delivered works perfectly. for BOTH the front AND rear dashcams.

Get rid of your dashcam power connection.
It's simple and works exactly as described. You pop off the housing behind your mirror, and use this adapter to tap into the power to your electronic rear-view mirror. Then you mount your dashcam on the windshield nearby and plug it into this adapter. Presto! No dangling wires, no wasted USB sockets.Installation is a bit finnicky, through no fault of Dongar or the adapter. There just isn't much room inside the housing on the windshield, so you have to carefully stuff the Y connector and the wires back in without damaging anything. I managed to do this, but I hope the Hyundai service department isn't in a big hurry if they ever have to re-stuff it.IMPORTANT: This approach to powering a dashcam requires the EXACT adapter for your make and model and YEAR AND TRIM. If your mirror isn't auto-dimming, and/or doesn't include garage door buttons, or some other electronic feature, then it probably doesn't have POWER going to it, and this adapter will have no wiring to adapt to!And of course the specific adapter is matched to the wiring and connectors used by your brand of car, your model, year of manufacture, and quite possibly the trim level of your model. This review is for the 2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited, and the adapter was exactly right.

Clean and easy! Works on 2024 Sportage Hybrid no problem!
Was super easy to install! The cover for the mirror pops out easily with the included tool. The shrowd around it opens up providing plenty of space to tuck everything neatly. No visible wires anywhere! Works without any other steps aside from unplugging the mirror harness and then plugging in this adapter between. Some feedback: the included usb cables were a nice touch but making them angled 45° would be way neater. I used the cable that came with my cam instead for this reason. It is a lot longer but I was able to tuck it in easily enough. Also, I know all cars are different, but some instructions would be nice. I was able to follow a YouTube video and get it in. Not even the most basic instructions were included in or on the box making the entry level of this item significantly higher; not everyone is comfortable taking these parts of their car off. It's fundamentally easy though given basic steps.

2025 Kia Sportage - SX Prestige
I have a 2025 Kia Sportage, SX-Prestige trim with an ICE engine and, most importantly, the optional Auto-Dimming Mirror with Homelink. So far, this adapter worked just fine with my Rexing V1, 4K Dash Cam. Very easy to put in and I was able to hide adapter in the plastic window shroud covering the sensors. Remember, If you do NOT have the optional Auto-Dimming mirror there will be no proper power source to run this adapter. I have only one complaint and that is that the connector cables they give you are too damn short! I had to buy an extended one. That is why I deducted a star in my rating.
