Works great
This is such an awesome product! My grandfather has been struggling to take his medication on time, because whenever he takes a nap, he wakes up and thinks it's a new day, and tries to take his medication early. naturally this is a substantial problem, since taking multiple days' worth of meds in one day is very bad indeed. This has absolutely solved this problem! The alarm is fantastic too. it's loud and persistent, but not painful. it will absolutely wake my grandfather up, even when he's wearing his headphones, and helps him take them right on time. The only complaints are that the paper date wheel does indeed move around but a drop of glue fixes that easily. The other complaint is that while there's lots of room for his daily prescriptions, there isn't room for his supplements as well. If the person you're getting this for needs lots of those as well, the wells for the pills might not be quite big enough. All in all, this is an amazing machine, and it gives so much agency back to someone who needs help with their meds, but still wants to be in control of their life.

Life saver. Works perfectly. perfe
This machine works perfectly! My 97 yo Dad is alone for weeks at a time and we know his medications are being given the correct time of every day and night. It was the one thing he couldn't manage alone. Now I'm free a week or two if I choose. Life saver!

Great tool, but not for those with hearing issues
This works really well. The directions are pretty good - especially if you watch the video. However, my father cannot hear high pitched tones. The ring is super loud to me but he can’t hear it at all. We tried all three tones - couldn’t hear it unless he was within 3 feet of the machine. We had to set a different alarm on his phone that he can actually hear.

Worth the money for peace of mind
I don’t know why they charge over $400 for this, but it works! I tried another method which was a voice alarm pill organizer and my mom couldn’t grasp how to use it because there were too many moving parts. My mom has MCI and this is the perfect answer. It’s easy to set up because the manual was written extremely well which doesn’t leave room for error. Don’t lose the instructions! There are 28 little pill compartments and there are a few different tones to choose from for the alarm. There’s a max of 6 alarms per day. The only thing my mom struggled a little with in the beginning was that you need to pull the lever ALL the way down for it to drop the pill in the stainless steel cup below. But I explained how it worked over the course of a couple of days PLUS added a couple of how to use reminder notes on the dispenser itself and it’s been smooth sailing since. I just bought a 2nd dispenser because I’m going on vacation and just one dispenser doesn’t have quite enough pill holders. I 100% recommend this dispenser. My advice is to have lots of patience while your loved one is getting used to it. It’s a good system.

Does Not Keep Accurate Time
Fails miserably at its primary function. Unit does not keep accurate time and has worsened rather than improve the quality of life of my Alzheimer's patient. It has fallen 10 minutes behind the actual time since first turned on in January. This causes confusion for my patient when the alarm goes off and the patient checks her watch ... doesn't know what to do since the times don't match. The setup process is also flakey. The unit sometimes will not advance to the dosage per day function ... gets stuck in time setting. Going back to a regular pill box and an Apple Watch alarm. $400-plus dollars wasted.

Really great pill dispenser.
I was in the market for a pill dispenser for a family member in cognitive decline. They have taken multiple days worth of pills in one sitting a few separate times. The time for their independent pill taking had come to an end, it was no longer safe. I looked into a company that seemed easy and had an app integration but would require a subscription and frankly, I have subscription fatigue, everything needs one now a days and I just don't want to add it on to my growing expense list. I was worried about this because of the learning curve my person may have to go through. When it arrived, I actually let it sit. Immediately I was worried about the size of the pill holder. I clearly isn't big enough for daily vitamins, which can be very large (fish oil) AND regular pills. On top of that my person is AWFUL at maintaining a regular schedule which is hard to develop after cognitive decline has started. They never wake up at a regular time and due to the excessive daytime sleepiness they take lots of naps and think a whole day has passed. Hence, taking multiple pills. After sitting down and understand how to program this for my persons needs I decided to omit the vitamins in the section and only put the 'important' pills. If they double dose on som fiber, it wont kill them. I set an AM/PM dispense with an audible alarm. It did in fact take a few weeks for them to understand what the blinking light and noise meant, and a few days to figure out how to tip the tray over. It's been several weeks with this machine and I'm happy to report no multiple dosages in a day. i can leave them unattended without worry of that ever happening again. This thing even locks although they haven't figured out how to twist it to get it out but I lock it anyway. I really like this and was worth the investment. I'd rather pay upfront than have to pay a subscription forever. If they come out with a box that has bigger slots, I'm definitely buying another one. Highly recommend if you have a person who needs help with pill dispensing.
