Best for chili con carne!
I've been using this particular chili powder for years and everyone loves my homemade chili con carne. I add 1/4 cup to a 7 quart pot. It is very flavorful, but on the mild side. I kick it up with a few dried ghost peppers from my garden. Don't worry about buying a whole pound, it gets used up quickly if you make a lot of chili. I like that it's all organic.

I love chili, but I don’t love all the extra additives that come with most chili seasonings. I found Frontier Co-op Organic Chili Powder, and it’s been a game-changer! While I do wish it didn’t include rice concentrate, the flavor more than makes up for it. It’s mild to moderately spicy with a sweet, tangy depth that really elevates a pot of chili. I especially appreciate that it has no added salt—this lets me control the seasoning and build a rich, deep chili flavor, adding just a touch of salt to taste. This has quickly become our go-to seasoning whenever chili weather rolls around. Highly recommend if you want a clean, flavorful blend without unnecessary extras!

Great organic chili powder, salt free so it does need some salt to make it flavorful.
Great organic chili powder, without added salt. At first it did not taste as flavorful as I expected, so started adding salt using a salt grinder in steps until the flavors really bloomed! I would much rather add salt to suit my taste, versus having too much salt included in a spice that I cannot remove. This is now my favorite spice, great on firm tofu, rice and beans, chicken too! I add it at the end of the cooking, so the flavors bloom in the hot oil used for cooking the tofu or chicken, without cooking the spices.

Tastes Great, would like better packaging
This stuff is great- used it in a soup the same day it arrived. Minus 1 star because the packaging would be so much better if it was resealable.
