VELUX App Control (KIG 300 EU) for electric and solar roof windows, blinds, and shutters (compatible only with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi)

Why did you choose this product over others?: Downloaded the app, unpacked the kit, plugged it in, followed the simple instructions to register the windows and remotes and everything was up and running in about 10 minutes. The windows were then picked up by Home Assistant and, five minutes later, we were controlling all the windows, installed over a decade plus, through our phones. Dead easy and totally reliable. Marvellous!!

I had a malfunction on the supplied unit which I reported to Velux but had no joy so I purchased one. Velux decided to send out a replacement after the order was placed. This company refunded without fuss in complete empathy with the situation and I cannot praise them enough. The product itself is extremely good and works very well. JC

I'm two months in to owning this and it hasn't failed yet, - so far so good. The device controls my Velux Solar Blinds in the loft, which are connected to a 5GHz access point network. In order to setup the system I had to put the device closer to my router as you need a 2.4GHz router. That being said, setup was very easy once I connected the device to the router rather than access points. My alternative was electric blinds which would have cost 5x the amount of this setup, so fantastic value for money all things considered.

I bought this to replace my obsolete and faulty KLR200. Frustratingly there are no instructions anywhere that help you to get around a faulty KLR200, but it can be done (why I have knocked one star off) Set up the KIG and download the app. The KLR200 does need to be powered up, but it doesn't matter if the touchscreen no longer works (like my faulty one) In the back of the KLR is a small key pin hole button. Pressing this for just over two seconds shares the security code with any other nearby devices I.e. the KIG. In the app you need to try to "add products", tell it that your existing remote is a KLR, but ignore the instructions to copy over the products because you won't be able to do this if your KLR screen is faulty. Instead simply tap "it's done" and then put a paperclip or pin in the key button on the KIG as described above. It will now recognise the products from the KLR and copy them across.

I bought this for remote app control of 8 velux windows. 4 are Integra models with built in motor and 4 are converted to electric via the Velux conversion kits (which are great and easy to fit). This controls all 8 windows without problem despite some of them being 2 floors up from the unit.

Quality control it links to all your electrical velux windows and blinds and you can control to open when you like on timer or close blinds if you have them. well worth the money.

I hesitated for a while because some of the reviews mentioned difficulty in setting up, especially with 5ghz. Decided to bite the bullet and try it. Product arrived on Friday and within 5 mins it was set up and in use! Absolutely no issues at all. I have even moved the Gateway several times, not because of the signal, just to a place that is more pleasing to me. With all the moves the Gateway has worked seamlessly. I purchased this because my remotes were becoming erratic, rebooting constantly and last year, because the batteries needed replaced, the whole system needed rebooting. Really happy with my purchase.

Like all velux control products - I have then all - it's a total nightmare to install - the manuals use just pictures and are extremely confusing The velux window products are obviously excellent - so how come they let morons write their user manuals? I'm a software developer working on extremely complex systems - I wouldn't dream of producing something as awful as their manuals Unfortunately there is no way around it - all their multi-window control units are hell to install - just make sure you have lots and lots of time and patience before you start

Parfait Conforme à mes attentes Installation facile et rapide

Habe mir ein Elektrisches Velux Dachfenster was mit einer Fernbedienung, einem Regensensor und einem Sonnensensor versehen ist. Leider fehlte für ein Perfektes Fenster dieser kleine Artikel, der das Dachfenster nun perfekt macht. Wie zu erwarten von Velux, ist die Steuereinheit in einer sehr guten Qualität. Alles Funktioniert einwandfrei und ist leicht einzurichten.

Nu al een jaar of 2 in gebruik. Werkt super handig zonder problemen.

Funciona muy bien. Persianas conectadas para manejarlas con el móvil. Fácil de conectar. La aplicación es sencilla y con muchas opciones de programación
