Very good fan in all respects: Airflow, sound intensity, vibration and efficiency. Quite suitable for solar application. Works GREAT with my 100W, (~)12V panel but will work with much smaller panels too. When wired - to black and + to blue the airflow is towards the wires, the screen, towards you as pictured. To reverse the airflow reverse the wires AND the fan or it will not blow much air. One nut holds it on. Mine squeaked at low speeds in one direction so I reversed the wires and fan blades. The motor appears to be of automotive quality, designed for a demanding environment. I use it in my greenhouse. Does the job nicely and will fulfill a multitude of diverse applications. Recommend buy.

Worked good for exactly 4 years and 1 month. Just bought a replacement today. Quiet,runs from 6 am until sunset here in south florida cools shed roof well (8x15 shed)

The 80w fan works great....but I took off 1 star for the customer service experience. I liked the fan so much for attic and garage use, I decided to order 2 more from the company and they won't fulfill the order, 2x I have placed the order thru Amazon and 2x the company has rejected the order. I have filed a complaint about this vendor hoping, if they continue to do business on Amazon's platform, they will fulfill customer's order....by the way there inventory said 16 in stock when I placed one of the order, I just wanted 2. I have tried reaching out to them, as they have requested in there literature thru phone (mobile # only), messaging & email to no avail. Hopefully if Amazon's buyer's can resolve the issue with them, I will add an additional star, but right now, I placed another order, let's see what happens....

I can't really give it a great review because I broke it when I installed it. Oooppssie my fault

This mostly-plastic fan is more quiet than Amtrak's metal fan (Solar 80 Watt 12-Inch Exhaust Fan), but it does not compare to what most people would call a "quiet fan" (e.g. Vornado fans, which are not DC). The plastic blades are more efficient than the flat metal blades (in their metal version), but noise is still an issue. The fact that the fan blades and housing are all made from plastic is a bit concerning. Still, for the price point it's a decent fan. I recommend under-powering it (if you are looking for a more "quiet" fan).

Quiet, easy to install, well built, well balanced with low vibration. Has been running every day as my garage exhaust fan and hardly hear it running. My 60 w solar panel powers it well .

Arrived on time, was easy to install and works great to cool the air in my work shed. I was looking for a solar fan because my shed is in a remote area of my property and is powered by solar panels and a solar generaltor. It fit my requirements for power and simplicity of installation.

No good, connected to a solor panel to vent my shed, fan died after 2 months.

This is not a fan for solar it is just a car fan Item was also sent not fit for purpose it was poor quality and fan was loose To return fan the postage nearly outweighs the cost of the item so do not buy from this company

Well, I'm not proud because I fell for that. They say ''solar fan'' but in fact it is nothing more than a 12v regular radiator fan which you can buy for 1/3 of the asked price on amazon. Not even brushless. Just a plastic fan.
