You'll be amazed by the end result!
I am extremely pleased with product and how the wall looks now. I have to stop and admire it every time I go in and out of the bedroom. I'm waiting for my neighbors to return from vacation to see if all the sound-proofing worked but I primarily got these acoustic panels for the aesthetics. What I'm counting more on for sound deadening is the 2-pound mass-loaded vinyl (from IsoStore, also sold on Amazon) that's stapled to the drywall and serves as the base layer for these panels. Any further effect these have on noise transmission will simply be icing on the cake. Regarding installation, I had ZERO issues removing the paper backing! ... that is, once you realize that it's quicker and easier to (like another reviewer noted) use a blade to barely scratch the paper (near one of the corners) and just lift the paper only with the tip of the blade. If you're pulling the adhesive layer for more than a millimeter, you're not patient or handy enough to tackle this project, and that's coming from a very impatient person who is no perfectionist. The tile material feels a little bit like fiberglass and at some point, while pressing it down against the wall, it felt like I got a splinter, similar to handling fiberglass without gloves. That only happened once and the invisible splinter went away a few minutes later. It was weird. The tiles are very thick and sturdy and can't be cut with a box cutter blade. However, strong shears worked fine. Also, be mindful of crumpling them while cutting. In the end, I had zero wasted product. If applying to a wall, make sure it's clean and dust-free first. If the adhesive layer goes up against dust, don't be surprised if they don't stay up long. I cleaned the vinyl layer first and, a couple times when I had to reposition a tile, trying to remove a tile also pulled out the vinyl layer AND the staples. The adhesive is VERY strong. My only complaint, but not enough to lower my rating, would have to do with the inconsistency in the dimensions. Some tiles are a very visible 1/16" wider or taller than others. It sort of works out in the end but they can aggregate and you start to notice a stair step pattern starting to form. I had to trim the very edge of a few of these to put an end to that. Once I got to the lower third of the wall (i.e., not eye level), I didn't care as much about it. Consider a subway tile or alternating orientation pattern to better hide these imperfections. I like the consistent pattern I went with, though. There are a few hairline gaps between tiles and they're only visible because of the base vinyl layer being such a strong black color. I may fill them in with a crayon. Even after all the vinyl, tape (used on seams), and stapler, this project was less than a thousand dollars for a 8 x 14 wall and I'm quite pleased with the value proposition of these tiles.

Easy installation
Product was very easy to install. Cutting to fit tile with a knife took seconds. Noise reduction was good, but not perfect. But what could you expect from a tile less than 1/2 inch thick. Overall, good value for money.

Easy, Elegant, and Works!
Very strong, tacky adhesive, very easy to apply, has a good look. Fabric is dense , but doesn't feel coarse if you touch it. I found when using my fingers, it was difficult to remove the adhesive backing protective film. However, once I switched to using an x-acto knife it was very easy. I'd use the knife to peel 1mm from the corner. Usually this would include both the adhesive AND the backing. Then I'd use the sharp edge of the knife on the underside of the peeled-back corner to separate the film from the adhesive tack, and I was good to go, every time. I used it on my ceiling

Funny story...
Here's the funny story...I ordered the ivory color, installed them and then took a step back. My room feels like a padded asylum. Haha! They still look great and I love the ribbed texture, but something to consider when choosing a color. I immediately noticed the sound absorption. Five stars for functionality. Unfortunately, the self-adhesive/adhesion failed within a few days. That's an easy fix with double-sided tape, or I might adapt these into a soundproof, tile rug and then purchase another color for my walls. Either way, I'm happy with my purchase.

Doesn’t stick or block out noise
These do not stick like they’re supposed to, and they definitely do not block out the noise. This was an absolute waste of money.

Sound proof
Didn’t sound proof the wall.

Worth the money, actually fun to install!
I love these things, best part is (to my surprise) the glue adhesion pad, sticks easier and faster than spray on gorila glue. The best part is it's thickness to sound proof/deadening qualities. If done right, and if you put a layer of mass loaded vinyl first. I prefer 2lb per SQ inch for floors and walls, and 1.5 pound per SQ inch for ceilings with sound deadening caulk for seams and seals then you layer all six deminions with this thin coarse yet soft to the touch material. You will have an environment of complete sound controll! Be it, a man cave (like me, so my boys and I can chill game and good around without desterbing the girls or our baby) or you are an audiophile and in need of sound controll. You can't go wrong with this particular product! - be warned though, there are a plethora of like alikes and you will waste your time and money if you buy this product from someone else!! Buy from this merchant, save the head ache. Also I think it's perfect for neutral unisex design. It's modern, high life condition in it's appearance, and blends well with it's environment. I can't wait to buy more. this was an awesome product, and I got to bond with my boys upgrading the mancave with them. 😎

They LOOK nice
These look very nice and modern, but these aren’t what your looking for if your in the market for a noticeable noise reduction. Noises from outside of the door these were mounted on are slightly muffled but not the difference we were looking for. Sticks very nicely and I think it’s a good value for what your getting

Likes - This product works great in the music studio / Dislike - Hard to start the peel off of the plastic sheet protecting the adhesion.

Why did you choose this product over others?: These are really good, easy to apply, and stick really well. 3 bits of advice, get them to room temperature (ideally warm weather) and to get the backing off, use a sharp craft knife, on the backing, cut diagonally from one corner to another (mostly) about an inch or so in, it then picks off easier and you can manage to pull the back off in one swipe most of the time, finally when working on the sides, overcut a little bit (a bit larger like 1/2mm) with a good push they do compress a tad, and you get a nice tight fit.

Look great for price. Easy to apply and stock really well.

This is a really nice product, very elegant and it dresses up the wall very nicely. I have had several compliments from friends who saw the panels on my home office wall. BUT they do not reduce noise levels enough, actually my neighbours upstairs didn't even notice the difference (I work from home and I am on the phone often). I guess I would need to wrap up the 4 walls and the ceiling with these panels. ALSO, I was short one box to cover the whole wall (my bad) and reordered but it came in a much lighter shade of grey. I returned it and ordered again, and the coulour was still not right, although the difference in shade was lesser. This was disappointing because it is a finishing touch that turned unsuccessful and you can notice it. I couldn't contact the seller, there was a botchat that didn't understand my question. So just make sure you order all the panels that you need in one single order, otherwise, since production is inconsistent, you might get batches that differ from one another in colour. The adhesive on the back is really good, no problems at all sticking the panels to the wall, but as it is strong, it makes putting up the panels a permanent change (peeling them off the wall is doable but it leaves a lot of gooey muck). Cutting the panels to adjust to different measurements and cornering is very easy with an exacto knife. Overall, nice product, not as sound-proofing as I would like but at least it looks nice and will isolate that wall which tends to get really cold in winter.
