Easy Fix for my wife’s washer
After waiting on a repair man for over a week, I decided I could fix it myself. Easily done after watching a YouTube video. Probably saved myself a few hundred bucks. Part arrived earlier than expected and worked perfectly.

LG Door Switch; worked perfectly
Our washing machine had the dreaded DE1/DE2 error codes and this switch was listed as the part number. LG wanted $300 to repair the unit and a local repair shop wanted $200. This switch install takes only about 10 minutes, a screwdriver, and a couple of vice grips to complete. Fixed our machine instantly. Hopefully it lasts longer than the previous LG switch which failed in under a year.

My washer works again!
I kept getting the dreaded de2 error code on my LG washer so my door wouldn't lock and therefor would not wash. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace it and it was honestly very easy I was able to do it without my husband! Took 10 minutes and my washer is working again!

Quick Fix OEM Match
Had door latch code on LG9000WM. Lots of clicking from the latch solenoid. Purchased this part (a little more money) Part fit exactly. Matched the numbering on the original part. Gave me confidence that it would work. Problem solved. Hardest part of the job was opening up the machine to install it, and getting the door gasket retainer ring back in place for finish. Otherwise a breeze, plug and play.

Doesn't appear to be OEM
What arrived does not appear to be OEM as advertised. Part is a completely different size - much smaller - and an additional label was stuck on the outside of the packaging labeled EBF61315802AM. One can only assume that standard abbreviations apply and AM stands for After Market. All that said, I went ahead and installed it as the washing machine wasn't working and needed to do laundry. It works but definitely has a less solid sound than the original. Guess we'll see how long it lasts. For the price point, I can buy 4 of these AM labeled switches for the price of one of the OEM switches. The only pain in that is trying to wrestling the wire band back in place that keeps the seal tight.
