SanDisk 1TB Portable SSD - Up to 520MB/s, USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 - SDSSDE30-1T00-G25

I’ve been using this 1 TB SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD in my studio for a while, and it’s been a game changer for managing large audio/video files on the go. What I liked: • Impressive transfer speeds — up to 1,050 MB/s read and 1,000 MB/s write make file transfers blazing fast.   • Durable build with IP65 water and dust resistance and 3 m drop protection—great for mobile, rugged use.  • Compact and lightweight (around 69 g), with a handy loop for attaching to bags—you can take it anywhere.  • Includes both USB-C to C cable and USB-C to A adapter, ensuring compatibility with various devices.  What could be improved: • Some newer models with USB4 offer superior speeds, but this SSD balances performance with portability.  Conclusion: If you need a portable, fast, and rugged SSD that’s perfect for transferring high-resolution media or game files in the studio or on location, the SanDisk Extreme 1 TB Portable SSD is a top-tier choice. Highly recommended for content creators, music producers, and gamers on the go.

Physical dimensions are tiny, no taller than a standard pen, as wide as two of my fingers put together. Enclosure is light, made from a hard plastic. Included cable appears to be a standard 1 foot long USB-A to USB-C cable. Actual drive size is expected, reading as 1.8 terabytes in Windows 11. This is a nice little external storage drive. High capacity, smaller and lighter than a smart phone. Seems well constructed and able to survive drops Works right out of the box. I use it to back up projects and store digital plug ins for my digital audio workstation.

I actually only have a USB 3.1 port and this still worked, although at the lower speed supported by the port. Works flawlessy. Recommended especially if you have a USB 3.2 port.

Love the size and convenience of this drive - the software that came with it was a little complicated but once I figured out that it's not required, everything worked out.

It's an external ssd. It's portable. Transfer speeds depends on your device. It's quick when your device is quick. If not, then it's not. Smaller than i was expecting. About as small as my T5 or T7 Touch. But it's small enough that it can fit in your pocket and you'll forget it's there. It's plasticky so don't be dropping it left and right. But it's light. And it works. What more do you need? I don't know if it's encryption-capable. Haven't tried nor will i ever. It's not going to be used for any stolen classified information. Those i keep in my spare bathroom.

It's a handy portable backup storage due to the small size. speed seems adequate for me.

Once I have received my product, I went to SanDisk site to register it, I typed in the S/N and the site gave me an error that the S/N I typed does not exist. Tried doing that multiple times and every time dot the same error.

Super prático, pequeno, veloz e tudo aquilo que esperamos de um SSD. Fiquei muito feliz com a compra e até o momento é uma boa referência para quem está buscando um SSD com um valor bom e de excelente desempenho.

Compact, lightweight (does not mean less durable) and quality storage device with none of the overheating that other users say they have experienced. Completed a full 970 GB Time Machine backup on a 2015 MacBook Pro in circa 2.5 hours. This back up was then successfully restored in circa 2 hours to the same device that I had completed a factory reset on. I'm sure USB 3.0 connectivity on the newer Apple devices would speed to timings up further. Very pleased with this portable 2 TB Sandisk SSD, the speed and exceptional Black Friday price. Definitely recommend.
