It performs great in first 2/3 of zoom range. Great sharpness . In archery it is amazing up to about 60 yards. The last 1/3 is barely satisfactory so past 60 yards you sacrifice either focus or zoom range. I can still see my arrows at 100 yard distance but the picture gets fuzzier when you zoom in all theway. Great for the money.

The Gosky HD Spotting Scope 20 60x80 mm works great, especially for the price point. The image is sharp, the zoom is smooth, and it performs really well for birdwatching and range use. The only downside is the phone adapter, which does not work at all. It does not line up properly and makes it hard to get any usable photos. Even with that issue, the scope itself is excellent and worth it for the quality you get.

BOUGHT THIS TO COMPARE WITH MY $800.00 VORTEX VIPER HD, IN A 20-60X85 CONFIGURATION. (CHECK AROUND AND SEE WHAT THOSE RUN FOR.) SET THEM BOTH UP AND LOOKED AT A CABIN ABOUT A MILE AWAY. THIS ONE WAS SO CLOSE TO BEING THE SAME AS FAR AS CLARITY AND DEFINITION, THAT I COULD JUST BARELY TELL THE DIFFERENCE. THAT DIFFERENCE DID NOT WARRANT SPENDING THE EXTRA MONEY TO BUY A "BETTER" BRAND. GRANTED, NEITHER OF THE TWO SCOPES WERE ZEISS OR SWAROVSKI, BUT FOR THE MONEY, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!

When not zoomed in, the image is pretty good. When you zoom in, the image loses brightness, contrast and clarity. If used as a spotting scope, that won't matter much, but limits the image quality when bird and wildlife watching. The camera mount is usable, but is challenging to get and keep my phone camera lined up. It also does not fit a larger phone with a case. Overall, this is okay, but not great.

Not a huge fan. Positives are: 1) super lightweight and 2) small size for this kind of item. Optics at 20x were clear, but getting to 40 and certainly at 60 were fairly fuzzy. I'd say it's a good value if you're not looking at tiny things at extreme distances. For causal birdwatching in a park, a good idea. Expecting to see bald eagles on the next mountain over on your next hike, you'll be disappointed.
