Excellent Nvme M.2 SSD heat sink.
This heat sink is well worth the money. It fits perfectly and it comes with everything you’ll need to fit it in your PS5, and more! It comes with a really well made screwdriver and two thermal pads at different thicknesses. It has all you’ll need in the box. I’ve had this heat sink on my PS5 for about 6 weeks and I’ve not noticed any issues with the PS5, SSD or the heat sink itself. It has these small channels/groove lines on top of the heat sink that the fan air will go into, to help keep the SSD cool. It also has a few holes at the end of the grooves. It also has a zinc pipe that will make contact with the SSD to remove heat. It’s a solid chunk of metal that looks really good (even though it’s covered up) and does what it advertises. I saw a YouTube review (NAScompares) on this heat sink where he did many temperature tests and speed tests, and it performed perfectly. He even said it was one of the best heat sinks you can get. It’s well worth the money. After spending hundreds on a Nvme M.2 SSD, you don’t want to get a cheap heat sink and possibly have the SSD fail due to excessive heat!

Perfect Heatsink for PS5
Upgraded PS5 storage with a 2tb Samsung 990 Pro that didn't come with a heatsink so I purchased this one. Easy to install with everything you need included in the box (even including screw driver). Decided to use the thicker included pads cut roughly to size and they were indeed were touching the heatsink. I recommend lightly trying to lift the heatsink after you've placed it on the pre-padded SSD, if there's light resistance that suggests a "stick" meaning you're safe to screw it down. PS5 reported ~6,500 mb/s read speed and moved ~500gb of games in minutes with no noticeable slowdown suggesting no obvious thermal throttling. This is a clear 5 star product that has been very well designed and produced. However my only slight gripe would be that at the price I paid, £25.98, it is expensive for what it is and you could probably find a better deal elsewhere.

Amazing heat dissipation, fantastic design, slightly lacking instructions.
This PS5 NVMe heatsink is without doubt the best I have tried. Temps are a consistent 3-5 degrees below the most competent competitors. The heatsink itself is a thick block of aluminium with a coated, copper capillary inside. The top of heatsink replaces the original PS5 NVMe bay cover and instead allows heat from the drive to escape the bay to be directed immediately into the main cooling fan above. Due to the close proximity of the fan to the NVMe bay, I wonder why Sony did not implement this idea themselves. The only negative comment I can really make is on the included instructions. Those unfamiliar with fitting heatsinks may struggle here since there is no information other than a diagram which is not incredibly detailed. The basics are that you should apply the 2 foam pads below the drive which ensure that the entire length of the drive is level and ensures that the whole NVMe makes perfect contact with the heatsink. If you are using a drive with a larger capacity, with chips on both sides, then instead of using these pads you should instead apply the thicker thermal pad to the lower side of the drive. You can then fit the drive into the caddy applying the thinner thermal pad on top of the drive ensuring that it covers all of the chips. The kit does also include a screw and copper washer which are used to fix the NVMe into place however this is not really required unless you have lost the small metal dowel that was supplied with the PS5. It is however a very nice touch to include this. The last step is of course to fit the heatsink itself. There is a small tab on the head of the heatsink which slots into the chassis of the PS5. You can then firmly press down the heatsink into the NVMe bay and screw it into place with the original screw, not forgetting to also use the small plastic washer included with the kit. Closely inspecting the fins of the heatsink shows that they dissipate the heat directly into the main fan, providng far superior cooling to a basic heatsink. Iv tested thoroughly and heat seem to sit perfectly within 30-41 degrees and even with the most demanding of games, won't even come close to exceeding the drives safe operating temps. Highly recommended, a must buy in my opinion, especially of you have an expensive 2tb+ NVMe.

Easy to install
Used this with a Kingston Fury Renegade 2gb with heat spreader. Easy to install and the thicker thermal blu-tack was enough to connect the bottom of the SSD to the bottom of the drive bay (1200 model has a metal bay, so is a good idea to put the extra pads between them). Very snug fit, which means everything was thermally connected. Comes with most of the tools you'll need - a pair of needle nose tweezers might be needed if you want to place the extra pads in the drive bay. Funnily enough, although this is one of the more expensive heatsinks, this worked out cheaper than the heatsink version of the SSD and has better thermal dissipation (probably overkill).

Good concept. Needs messing around for the thermal pads
It's a good concept however you do need to faff around with the thermal pad sizes and options to make sure you get a really good contact between whatever size (physical shape) of M.2 NVME drive you install. Recommend you put it all together and tighten the screw and then remove it and make sure the thermal pad shows that it has been squashed by the components and has indents, therefore showing it really is making good contact. If you don't do this there is a risk the thermal pads are not making contact between M.2 drive and the alloy heatsink.

cool ehh
Build quality is good and it comes well packaged and a kit to install. For the cost you need to buy one if you are adding SSD memory to your PS5. Get one, get one now before its too late. not sure how to test if its actually working but its worth the piece of mind.

Nice well made bit of kit
Think should work well.. Nice well made well packed, spare screw, spacer, heat pads. Instructions could be little clearer as to heat pad use. Little hard to tell if getting best contact as noob. Was also little sad it didn't have an under and side heatsinks, don't know if would upgrade or hinder cooling? Other thinking.. Looks good seems to work well running 4tb, not over cheap but good kit
