Coming from a 6’5 person, it is really spacious on the inside. Its very sturdy, easy to set up and keeps out the rain. However, the front door can be a little tricky to get through

I bought this tent two years ago before embarking on a 7,000 mile road trip to Alaska. Since then it has probably travelled an additional 20,000 miles with me on various adventures, and has been absolutely rock solid every step of the way. I’ve tested the tent in every type of weather - snow in the mountains of Colorado and Utah, the deserts of Arizona and California, pouring rains in Alberta and Nebraska, and humid marshes in Mississippi. Never once have I gotten wet or woken up cold while staying in this tent, and after two years of rigorous use, the rain fly is only just now starting to show minimal signs of wear (one of the more angular connecting points of the tent poles has started to fray the fly). I would absolutely recommend this tent to any avid camper - it sets up and breaks back down in under five minutes, is made of very high quality materials, is completely waterproof, and stores very compactly in a space small enough to fit in a regular backpack with plenty of room to spare. If I have to come up with one thing to complain about, it would be that the pegs that come with the tent are a little cheap - I’ve since replaced the originals with my own. All things considered though, provided that you don’t try to peg in to very densely packed rock or gravel, the originals will serve their purpose perfectly fine. In terms of actually staying inside the tent, the experience is quite pleasant. I am 5’6”, and have always had space at the foot of the tent to store a bag without feeling cramped. For anyone much taller than me, you’d probably just want to put your belongings to the one side, or keep them outside the tent under the fly or in your car. I can sit up straight and have never had any issues getting dressed inside the tent. A very nice feature is that the fly does a fantastic job of holding in heat. I’ve camped in temperatures down to about 20 degrees F and woken up in the morning quite toasty as the sun begins to shine on the tent. This being said, that same principle applies in the summer, and if you’re going to be camping when it’s 80 or 90 degrees outside, you’ll want to leave a tent flap open or take the fly off entirely to avoid cooking yourself overnight. So long as you allow a breeze in, I’ve slept in 95 degree humidity on a beach in Mississippi and gotten a very restful night. Overall, I feel that the Teton Sports Mountain Ultra is the ideal tent. It sets up and breaks down quickly, insulates you from any kind of weather, is spacious to stay in without being bulky to carry, and is versatile to essentially any situation. I couldn’t recommend this for your next road trip, backpacking adventure, or casual camping trip any more strongly!

Used this tent for a weekend camping trip with my fiancée. Set up is extremely easy; I was able to do it myself in about 15-20 minutes. As is the case with almost all tents, I would recommend buying some alternate tent stakes (I used MSR groundhog stakes). The inside of the tent is very spacious and the tent also offers two very large vestibules for gear on either end of the tent. My fiancée and I were extremely comfortable in term of space. Neither of us are very big, but I'd say you could definitely fit 3 medium size people in the tent comfortably. I love that the tent comes with a footprint as well as a very convenient pack bag. The tent poles themselves seem very high quality and are quite light. We got rained for quite a while on the second night we were in the tent and the inside stayed completely dry. The rainfly is extremely high quality. I was afraid the tent would not ventilate very well, however, the vents toward the top as well as the open areas at the bottom of the rainfly allow for very god ventilation. All in all I would highly recommend this tent.

One day, I would like just to review tents because there isn't much information out there except for sponsored reviews that show how it is set up and some reviews of whether they leak, or how much they weigh when putting them on your backpack before you hike for 1000 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Unfortunately, I still have to provide for my family, so I will review the ones I get as I get them. This tent is solid. It has high-quality parts and pieces, goes up easily, and is a good tent overall. When I got it, I wanted something I could take out that was small and practical for one or two night excursions without bringing all the extra stuff. Still, I wanted it to be breathable and have enough room to set up a cot in because I'm old enough that I don't like sleeping on the ground anymore. When I opened the box and saw the aluminum poles, I knew I was in for a surprise. Like most guys do, I didn't break out the instructions and decided just to see if I could get the thing pitched (inside, of course, because don't we all set up a tent to test in the living room first?). Within maybe five minutes, it was set up as a basic tent. The tent is a large tub bottom with a mesh upper 3/4 and doors on both ends. If you're summer camping and there's no rain in the forecast, you can sleep like you're not in a tent without waking up looking like you have mumps from the mosquitoes attacking you all night. If there is a chance of rain or you just want to stay warm if it's cooler out, you can put on the rain fly that covers the entire tent, with side vents, and vestibules on both ends. It doesn't get stuffy inside because the airflow from the vents and physical separation between the mesh and the fly let air move around. Everything about it feels high quality, which hasn't changed in the 20+ times I have used it. It never feels like I need to bring a backup with me. It is an excellent tent for a reasonable price that you will have for years to come.
